Overview: We are seeking an Assistant Branch Manager for our Alexandria&nbsp;Main&nbsp;branch who will work collaboratively with the Branch Manager ensuring the consistent and exceptional service experience for current and prospective members.&nbsp; The Assistant Branch Manager will supervise the Teller Team coaching the team towards ensuring that all service interactions are handled efficiently, referrals and sales opportunities are maximized, engagement is maintained, and branch goals are achieved.
Responsibilities: <p><em>Member Service:</em></p> <ul> <li>Observe and assist the Teller Team staff with problem resolution, consultative referral/selling techniques, member transactions, and/or questions.</li> <li>Research and solve complex member questions, problems, and/or complaints concerning credit union accounts.</li> <li>Monitor transactions for accuracy, professionalism, and content. Conduct ongoing coaching sessions to mentor staff to be highly motivated, skilled in cross selling, and proficient in completing member transactions.</li> <li>Resolve complex and difficult member service issues.</li> </ul> <br /> <p><em>Operations:</em></p> <ul> <li>Assists tellers in resolving overage or shortage of teller drawer.</li> <li>Supervises the efficient and effective delivery of services in the branch in accordance with established credit union policies and standards.</li> <li>Ensures proper coverage for the branch.</li> <li>Ensures compliance with all applicable federal regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act, Security, OFAC and with SAFE Act.</li> <li>Provides timely reports to management.</li> <li>Informs management of any significant member/operations concerns that arise. Provides well-thought out recommendations for improved efficiency or effectiveness in operations.</li> </ul> <br /> <p><em>Staff Performance:</em></p> <ul> <li>Train Teller Team staff with consultative referral/cross-selling skills to promote credit union products and services as appropriate.</li> <li>Create monthly work schedule; prepare employee evaluations; approve timesheet; assist with hiring of new Teller Team staff.</li> </ul>
