Overview: <p>The Training &amp; Development Specialist will implement and assess training programs based on the credit union&rsquo;s Strategic Plan, the Training and Development Strategy, and individual department and employee needs. &nbsp;The Training &amp; Development Specialist will diversify and implement training opportunities including classroom, virtual, and on-the-job training methods.&nbsp; The Training &amp; Development Specialist is critical in supporting the strategic learning environment established by the Training &amp; Development Manager at the credit union.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>May be assigned to lead special projects and serve on various project teams to accomplish CommonWealth One&rsquo;s Strategic Goals.&nbsp;</p>
Responsibilities: <p>Develops and facilitates staff training and learning initiatives.</p> <p>&middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Leads educational activities and programs to promote learning and development throughout the Credit Union.</p> <p>&middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Facilitates and monitors the onboarding program, which includes orientation and on-the-job training for new hires.</p> <p>&middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Collaborates with product vendors and arranges ongoing sales and product training for staff.</p> <p>&middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Develops needs assessments and coordinates with Training &amp; Development Manager the identified subsequent training and development needs.&nbsp;</p> <p>&middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Consults with Training &amp; Development Manager and Department Leads to develop and enhance job-specific training.</p> <p>&middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Develops and organizes training and educational materials.</p> <p>&middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Creates job aides and procedures utilizing instructional design tools and systems according to department templates.</p> <p>&middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Uses a tracking and measurement system to ensure the effectiveness of training.</p> <p>&middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Maintains a virtual training library.</p> <p>&middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Uses all applicable Learning Management Systems to enable staff to complete required annual training programs and job specific courses.</p> <p>&middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Assists the Human Resources Department in staff development programs and initiatives.</p> <p>&middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Supports Human Resources and Strategic Plan tactics by completing related work as required.</p> <p>&middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Monitors the NMLS certification program for required staff.</p> <p>&middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Supports the Credit Union&rsquo;s culture initiative and other employee engagement efforts.</p> <p>&middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Provides back-up support to other members of the Human Resources Department and Credit Union Committees/Initiatives.</p> <p>&middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Performs other duties as assigned.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
