Overview: Compass Health is currently looking for a Mental Health Counselor to join the Adult Outpatient program in Bellingham!<br /><br /> <br />The Clinician III works in conjunction with the Program Manager to ensure that clinicians have appropriate supervision and that clients receive high quality clinical care. This position provides a range of clinically indicated services including but not limited to individual psychotherapy, group therapy, family therapy, and case management services for adults/older adults with behavioral health conditions. This position is responsible for assessing client functioning and needs and partnering with the client to develop an individually tailored care plan designated to promote recovery. Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Complies with all accurate and appropriate charting, coding, and billing procedures as required by the regulatory organizations.</li> <li>Documents delivery of services in the medical record. Completes all paperwork to agency standard and within required timelines.</li> <li>Meets or exceeds service hour expectations and/or response time expectations established by the agency.</li> <li>Develops expertise in Evidence-Based Practices, serious behavioral health disorders, and local community resources, and shares this expertise with other staff.</li> <li>Completes client assessments in accordance with the DSM and other external and internal requirements.</li> <li>Accepts primary responsibility for the treatment of a caseload of clients.</li> <li>Establishes a treatment plan and goals with client and evaluates progress throughout treatment.</li> <li>Routinely assesses for risk issues including danger to self and others, and develops plans with client to mitigate those risks.</li> <li>Provides individual psychotherapy and other medically necessary behavioral health services to adults/older adults. Whenever possible, treatment approaches employing Evidence-Based Practices will be used.</li> </ul> <br />
Requirements: <ul> <li>MA/MS/MSW Degree in a Behavioral Science related field.</li> <li>Current Washington State Licensure or equivalent in Social Work, Marriage &amp; Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling.</li> <li>Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Evidence-Based Practices, or interest and ability to learn.</li> <li>Washington State Approved Supervisor Training must be completed prior to providing clinical supervision.</li> <li>Valid Washington State Driver&rsquo;s License including vehicle and appropriate insurance, if applicable.</li> </ul> <br /> <br /><strong>What you will be sharing</strong><br /> <ul> <li>Ability to work effectively with individuals with complex needs and multi-system involvement.</li> <li>Ability to maintain a positive, solution-focused demeanor when responding to conflicts or problems.</li> <li>Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to multitask within a fast-paced environment.</li> <li>Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.</li> <li>General computer proficiency, including the ability to utilize electronic medical record systems.</li> <li>Ability to pass pre-employment criminal background check, which may or may not include an additional search by DSHS.</li> </ul> <br /><br />
