Responsibilities: <p><strong>Payee Functions</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p>Receive and manage beneficiaries&rsquo; funds, including budgeting, bill paying, and daily check/cash disbursements.</p> </li> <li> <p>Coordinate with the Social Security Administration, other agencies, and case managers.</p> </li> <li> <p>Maintain controls and accuracy while handling beneficiary financial transactions.</p> </li> <li> <p>Exercise discretion and diplomacy when working with beneficiary requests.</p> </li> <li> <p>Meet all reporting requirements by regulatory bodies such as the SSA.</p> </li> <li> <p>Provide excellent customer service to a diverse population.</p> </li> </ul> <p><strong>Procurement Functions</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p>Review and process purchase orders; ensure accuracy and completeness.</p> </li> <li> <p>Maintain supplier relationships and resolve issues as they arise.</p> </li> <li> <p>Monitor supplier performance and verify receipt of goods.</p> </li> <li> <p>Collaborate with departments to understand and fulfill procurement needs.</p> </li> <li> <p>Maintain accurate procurement records and reconcile credit card statements.</p> </li> </ul> <p><strong>Finance &amp; Organizational Functions</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p>Handle daily Compass Health bank deposits and online entries.</p> </li> <li> <p>Ensure compliance with licensing, regulatory, and contractual mandates.</p> </li> <li> <p>Attend supervision and team meetings; maintain all required trainings.</p> </li> <li> <p>Safeguard client information per Compass Health&rsquo;s HIPAA policies.</p> </li> <li> <p>Uphold agency values, ethics, and a commitment to multicultural competency.</p> </li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li> <p>BA Degree in Behavioral Science, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field OR a combination of education and experience totaling at least 4 years.</p> </li> <li> <p>Experience in social service/non-profit environments.</p> </li> <li> <p>Familiarity with custodial checking/trustee accounting software preferred.</p> </li> <li> <p>Procurement, finance, or purchasing experience a plus.</p> </li> </ul> <p><strong>What you will be sharing</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p>Knowledge of SSA, DSHS, and related systems.</p> </li> <li> <p>Understanding of managing financial disability funds.</p> </li> <li> <p>Ability to interpret budgets and manage disbursements.</p> </li> <li> <p>Strong math, organization, and problem-solving skills.</p> </li> <li> <p>Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.</p> </li> <li> <p>Comfort with multitasking in a high-volume setting.</p> </li> <li> <p>Proficiency in standard computer applications.</p> </li> <li> <p>Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.</p> </li> </ul>
