Overview: <p>Compass Health is seeking a compassionate and dedicated&nbsp;<strong>Crisis Peer Counselor</strong>&nbsp;to join our&nbsp;<strong>Child, Youth &amp; Family Crisis Team (CYFCT)</strong>&nbsp;in&nbsp;<strong>Snohomish County</strong>. If you have lived experience with behavioral health challenges and a passion for helping others on their journey to recovery, this is a unique opportunity to turn your story into strength for others&mdash;especially during their most vulnerable moments.</p> <h4><strong>What You'll Be Doing</strong></h4> <p>As a&nbsp;<strong>Crisis Peer Counselor</strong>, you will provide vital peer support services during the&nbsp;<strong>NOC (overnight) shift</strong>, helping children, youth, adolescents, and their caregivers during behavioral health crises. Under the guidance of the Program Manager, your work will focus on stabilization, advocacy, empowerment, and community-based support.</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Offering&nbsp;<strong>emotional support, mentorship, and hope</strong>&nbsp;grounded in shared lived experience.</li> <li>Assisting clients with&nbsp;<strong>recovery planning, coping skills</strong>, and community living strategies.</li> <li>Helping clients&nbsp;<strong>access mental health, substance use, and peer support services</strong>, as well as basic needs.</li> <li>Supporting the&nbsp;<strong>natural support systems</strong>&nbsp;of clients&mdash;families, friends, and caregivers&mdash;through validation and education.</li> <li>Collaborating with clinical staff to monitor client symptoms, inform treatment goals, and provide holistic care.</li> <li>Advocating for the client&rsquo;s preferences and dignity in all interactions.</li> </ul> <br /> <p>This is a&nbsp;<strong>community-based outreach role</strong>, meaning much of your work may take place&nbsp;<strong>outside traditional settings</strong>, including homes, schools, shelters, or other locations in the community.</p> <h4><strong>Who You'll Be Working With</strong></h4> <p>The&nbsp;<strong>CYFCT team</strong>&nbsp;is made up of skilled professionals committed to trauma-informed, strength-based, and culturally responsive care. We specialize in&nbsp;<strong>short-term crisis intervention and prevention services</strong>&nbsp;for youth and families, regardless of their funding source. Our goal is to support stability and recovery by&nbsp;<strong>meeting families where they are&mdash;literally and emotionally</strong>.</p>
