This is a critical, client-facing role where your empathy, structure, and skill will provide stability and support during moments of crisis.<br /><br /></p> <h4><strong>About the Triage Center</strong></h4> <p>The Whatcom County Triage Center (WCTC) offers a safe, supportive space for individuals recovering from behavioral health crises. Located alongside a detox facility operated by Pioneer Services, our center offers 24/7 mental health stabilization, walk-in emergency services, and next-day appointments. Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Provide supervision and support to clients.</li> <li>Deliver life-skills training in self-care, coping, and social interaction.</li> <li>Participate in client treatment planning and documentation.</li> <li>Support intake and discharge processes.</li> <li>Facilitate daily safety checks, vital signs, and risk assessments.</li> <li>Help maintain unit cleanliness and monitor mealtimes.</li> <li>Answer phones, take referrals, and provide consistent, compassionate support.</li> </ul>
