Overview: Working for the VP of Microsoft relying on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, the Senior Field Solution Architect (Sr. FSA) under the Microsoft COE effectively penetrates, collaborates, and drives solutions within targeted accounts and expands consumption on existing accounts. The Sr. FSA develops and works on problems/projects of deep, diverse complexity and scope, exercising independent judgment within generally defined policies and practices to identify and select a technology solution. The Sr. FSA acts as a project team leader providing direction, facilitating information, and validating decision processes.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>The Sr. FSA requires an acute understanding of the account's technology and business objectives to enable the delivery of solutions that will in-turn contribute to the success of existing accounts and the acceleration of new customer volume.</li> <li>The Sr. FSA speaks from experience and offers insight into successes and failures relative to the customer's industry and/or objectives and provides solutions based on Microsoft and Microsoft partner portfolios.</li> <li>The Sr. FSA demonstrates strong competencies in multiple technology areas, including; Compute, Storage, Networking, and Virtualization technology concepts and how they relate to Cloud development and deployment.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other similar program</li> <li>Preferred Certifications: Microsoft M365, Microsoft Azure, AWS, GCP/G-Suite, VMware, Citrix, IBM, Server and Storage, Converged and/or Hyper-Converged platforms.</li> <li>Minimum of 8 years experience in pre-sales.</li> <li>Technical aptitude with the ability to absorb and apply newly learned technical skills.</li> <li>Experience with storage and virtualization products from leading manufacturers.</li> <li>Experience building and/or deploying applications in Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services or Google Compute Platform.</li> <li>Experience architecting or implementing Microsoft M365, including Teams Meetings, Teams Meeting rooms, or Teams Calling.</li> <li>Knowledge on the following: <ul> <li>Cloud Solution Offerings and providers</li> <li>VMware, Citrix, and Microsoft products</li> <li>Linux, UNIX or AIX Enterprise environment</li> <li>Data Center consolidation and Cloud solutions</li> <li>Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity</li> <li>DevOps</li> </ul> </li> <li>Verifiably successful professional Business-to-Business solutions selling experience.</li> <li>Excellent time management, communication, presentation, prioritization and negotiation skills.</li> <li>Account planning skills with experience in up-sell and cross-sell strategies.</li> <li>Strong organizational, oral and written communication skills.</li> <li>Ability to articulate and demonstrate solution value proposition.</li> </ul>
