Full-Time

Overview: The Project Manager (PM) works with the Connection sales subsidiaries to successfully deliver medium to large moderately complex projects. The Project Manager utilizes independent judgment and discretion while following a predefined project management methodology to deliver all projects. The PM creates, controls, and drives project execution utilizing the appropriate pre-defined project management lifecycle methodologies. The PM serves as the primary point of contact for project communication and ensures all phases of the project are followed. The Project Manager may also assist clients and the sales team in planning, scoping, scheduling, and determining project requirements during the pre-sales phase. The PM is also responsible for contributing to the development of the team by mentoring less experienced project managers. Travel may be required to kick off a project, run pilots, discuss project milestone reviews, or to attend customer meetings. Duties may be performed remotely or at a Connection office.
Responsibilities: <p><strong><u>Business Knowledge</u></strong></p> <ul> <li>Customer-oriented with the ability to listen to and anticipate the needs of the customer</li> <li>Attention to detail in composing, keying, and proofing professional business materials</li> <li>Proven project management experience creating project artifacts including charters, budgets, rosters, risk registers, mitigation plans, schedules, and communication plans</li> <li>Proven experience with requirements gathering related to projects</li> <li>Working knowledge of data analysis with the ability to provide project insight</li> </ul> <p><strong><u>Other Behavioral Competencies</u></strong></p> <ul> <li>Excellent written communication skills with the ability to compose professional business communications via email, letter, and proposals</li> <li>Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to present professional demonstrations</li> <li>Adaptable with the ability to switch tasks based on shifting priorities</li> <li>Creative with the ability to develop original solutions to problems</li> <li>Decisive with the ability to make a prompt determination and substantiate decision if challenged</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong><u>Technology</u></strong></p> <ul> <li>Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint with the ability to update spreadsheets and to perform intermediate calculations in Excel</li> <li>Experience using Microsoft Word templates to create Change Orders and project artifacts and deliverables</li> <li>Experience creating project schedules using Microsoft Project</li> </ul> <br /> <p><strong>Additional preferred competencies or preferred qualifications, if any:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience in IT professional services working with third party vendors</li> <li>Fundamental understanding of cloud marketplace or ecommerce</li> </ul>
