Overview: The Information Security Engineer develops, tests, and monitors information systems and network security best practices, standards, and regulatory compliance across the enterprise. Working individually, as well as part of various project teams, the Information Security Engineer is an in-house subject matter expert providing security solutions to maintain the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of all corporate software, hardware, and data resources.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>The Information Security Engineer implements and maintains corporate security policies, application security, cryptographic requirements, access controls, and corporate data safeguards and supervises changes in software, hardware, facilities, telecommunications, and user needs.</li> <li>The Information Security Engineer investigates intrusion, malware, and other industry-related anomalies using security and forensic tools.</li> <li>The Information Security Engineer also configures and supports security tools, including but not limited to; Security Information and Event Management software, anti-virus software, and patch management systems.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <div>Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience and a minimum of 5 years work experience.&nbsp; CISSP highly desired.</div> <div> <ul> <li>Understanding of security controls, best practices and risk frameworks.</li> <li>Experience with security reporting, logging, configuration monitoring, risk management, vulnerability scanning tools and related practices.</li> <li>Adept in various security tools, software and Operating Systems such as: NeXpose, AlienVault, Logrhythm, NMap, Wireshark, Kali Linux, Metasploit, Symantec Endpoint for Enterprise, Microsoft SCCM, Virtual Appliance software (VMWare &amp; VirtualBox), etc.</li> <li>Working knowledge of IT s/a SQL, routers, switches, wireless technology, IDS/IPS, VPN.</li> <li>Experience with Checkpoint Firewalls, Cisco (ASA, switches, routers) security, Zscaler.</li> <li>Knowledge and experience assessing information security risks against Sarbanes-Oxley, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, and other regulations and industry standards.</li> <li>Must be self-directed, able to work independently, as well as work in team-oriented, geographically diverse/multiple locations.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to define, manage and counsel on security recommendations and requirements for business projects of large scale and support activities in a multi-site meshed topology.</li> <li>Strong customer service focus; excellent communication skills, including presentations and negotiations.</li> <li>Have demonstrated ability to work in a matrix organization and to establish productive and professional relationships with IT staff, business partners, management, and operations teams.</li> </ul> </div>
