Overview: The IT Operations Specialist supports the day-to-day operation of the business through Level-1 IT incident resolution and request management, monitoring of computer systems and application of documented solutions to maintain committed service levels, creation and delivery of technical communications to workers, construction of detailed incident analysis to aid in the root-cause elimination of defects in computer systems and/or processes, and execution of other work as assigned. <div id="gtx-trans" style="position: absolute; left: -362px; top: 26px;">&nbsp;</div>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Ability to handle multiple tasks working with multiple departments, perform well under stress when confronted with emergency, critical or unusual customer situations. Ability to maintain a strong sense of urgency.</li> <li>Proactive in analyzing needs and identifying ways to improve computer services to the organization.</li> <li>Must be self-directed, highly motivated, and be able to provide high-quality customer service. Ensure quick response times to facilitate maximum uptime for all users and systems.</li> <li>Ability to read, understand and communicate on-line Standard Operations Procedures. Ability to understand specified hardware and software used. Ability to troubleshoot, prioritize and escalate problems effectively. Ability to learn and apply new technology. Ability to work calmly in difficult situations and form logical conclusions.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Minimum 2 years of experience working in an IT customer service role.</li> <li>Associates' Degree in Computer Science preferred.</li> <li>Must be a team player and capable of working in a fast-paced organization.</li> <li>Must demonstrate exceptional communication and teamwork skills, as IT Operations Specialists work in teams and communicate regularly with technicians to solve computer-related problems by conveying necessary information accurately, listening effectively, and asking questions where clarification is needed.</li> <li>Proficient verbal and written communication skills using English is necessary.</li> <li>Advanced Microsoft Office skills to include creating presentations, creating documents in Word to included advanced formatting, creating spreadsheets to include the use of macros.</li> <li>Technical aptitude with ability to absorb and apply newly learned technical skills</li> <li>Knowledge of computers, networking, and electronics is required</li> <li>Intermediate knowledge of phone provisioning in a VoIP environment.</li> <li>Customer oriented with ability to listen to and anticipate needs of the customer</li> <li>Interpersonal skills with ability to work well with all levels of the organization</li> </ul>
