Overview: <br /> <p>Connection has a fantastic opportunity with one of our outstanding clients based in Hazlet, NJ. We are looking for a solid&nbsp;<strong><u>Network Engineer</u>&nbsp;</strong>to bring on board and take ownership of the network infrastructure. This is a&nbsp;<strong><u>Perm Role</u></strong>&nbsp;with our end client.</p> <p><strong>SHIFT:&nbsp;</strong>M-F; 8:00am-5:00pm<br /><br /></p> <p><strong><u>Who you are:</u></strong></p> <ul> <li>Previous experience as a Network Engineer or Admin.</li> <li>Comfortable monitoring networks and providing basic troubleshooting to fix issues.</li> <li>High level of experience/work with VPN, SFTP Servers, DNS, and DHCP.</li> <li>Some occasional travel to NYC to other office.</li> </ul>
Responsibilities: <br /> <ul> <li>Design, implement, and maintain network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks</li> <li>Setup VPN, SFTP servers; understanding of cloud-based VPN and SFTP infrastructure.</li> <li>Install, configure, and support general-purpose computers/monitors for office employees, network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS, and DHCP</li> <li>Setup email solutions (Exchange, G-Suite), archiving solutions, and cloud-based Active Directory</li> <li>Maintaining, configuring, and monitoring virus protection software and email applications.</li> <li>Monitoring and improving network performance.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <br /> <ul> <li>Certifications a plus -- CCNA, Network+, etc.</li> <li>Proven experience with network capacity planning, network security principles, and general network management best practices.</li> <li>Previous experience securing network systems, enforcing network policies, and defining and monitoring access.</li> <li>Experience with disaster recovery and data backups.</li> <li>Skilled with VPN, FTP / SFTP, direct line setups.</li> <li>Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.</li> <li>Strong Network documenting skills.</li> <li>Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.</li> <li>Strong customer service orientation.</li> <li>Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.</li> </ul>
