Overview: <br />The Microsoft Solutions Specialist (MSS) proactively grows and maintains Microsoft licensing Enterprise Agreements (EAs) and hunts new opportunities to introduce and grow Microsoft Product and Services Agreements (MPSAs) within our accounts.&nbsp;
Responsibilities: <br />The MSS engages in solution-selling spanning across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid software environments. Through timely preparation and interaction with the customer, the MSS drives consumption of licensing and achieves benchmarks as established by Microsoft and COE goals. The MSS partners directly with Account Managers, Sales Management, and Business Development Managers (BDMs) to identify customers that can benefit from the advantages of various agreement options. Positioning appropriate licensing solutions results in deeper/wider Microsoft account penetration, clarity, and control for the customer.
Requirements: <br /> <ul> <li>Advanced Microsoft Office skills to include creating presentations in PowerPoint, creating documents in Word, creating and updating spreadsheets in Excel, utilizing Skype for Business to make calls, and Outlook for emails</li> <li>Working knowledge of Webex with the ability to participate and host virtual meetings</li> <li>Intermediate working knowledge of Access for database creation and reporting</li> <li>Working knowledge of an ERP system for order processing.</li> <li>Notebook, Yammer, and Skype experience</li> <li>Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or Marketing preferred</li> <li>Minimum of 8 years of sales or IT consulting experience</li> <li>Knowledge of Microsoft's lifecycle and renewals process for Enterprise Agreements, MPSA (Microsoft Products and Services Agreement), and Cloud Subscription Agreements with the ability to identify, drive, and oversee all aspects of a Microsoft deal from conception to closure</li> <li>Negotiation skills with the ability to secure the best purchasing agreement for customers and the company</li> <li>Working knowledge of sales strategies including upselling with proven success in a goal-driven environment</li> <li>Knowledge of Microsoft business drivers</li> <li>Strong business analysis skills with the ability to convert customer need to Microsoft solution</li> <li>Proven licensing solution development and presentation skills</li> <li>Ability to effectively interact at all levels of management internally, with customers, and with Microsoft management and field sales</li> <li>Excellent written communication skills with the ability to compose professional business communications via email, letter, and proposals.</li> <li>Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to present professional presentations</li> <li>Detail-oriented with item by item focus, meticulous attention to detail with the ability to proofread for accuracy</li> <li>Organized state of mind with the ability to document activities, anticipate problems, plan schedules, and monitor performance according to priorities and deadlines</li> <li>Interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with all levels of the organization</li> <li>Analytical with the ability to draw conclusions from data, systematic and rational</li> <li>Adaptable with the ability to switch tasks based on shifting priorities</li> </ul>
