Overview: <br />The E-Rate Program Specialist is responsible for growing the E-Rate business, a federally funded discount program for schools that is dedicated to ensuring every school in America can offer students cost-effective internet connectivity.&nbsp;
Responsibilities: <br /> <div id="field2_left"> <div class="content" data-ng-bind-html="field.content | trustAsHtml"> <div> <p>Individual ensures growth through proactively monitoring bid boards, data mining, and lead generation to prepare competitive quotes in response to RFQ's. Individual ensures order and program compliance and troubleshoots any order that may get stuck along the process and takes corrective action. The E-Rate Program Specialist is a subject matter expert that conducts E-Rate needs assessments for customers and provides viable technology solutions through the utilization of internal and external resources. Position can be located in any Connection Public Sector Sales office.</p> </div> </div> </div> <div id="field3_left">&nbsp;</div>
Requirements: <br /> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent combination of education and work experience, along with a minimum of 2 years work experience.</li> <li>Basic computer knowledge with ability to operate keyboard for data entry.</li> <li>Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with ability to create a document or simple spreadsheet</li> <li>Adept at proactively finding business opportunities within existing customer base</li> <li>Understanding inside sales strategies and upselling for upgrades and other add-on products</li> <li>Advanced knowledge of Business Development with ability to create new lines of business</li> <li>Creative with ability to develop original solutions to problems</li> <li>Adaptable with ability to switch tasks based on shifting priorities</li> <li>Quick study with ability to master a situation or learn new things with minimum direction or training</li> <li>Interpersonal skills with ability to work well with all levels of the organization</li> <li>Conceptual with ability to conceive mentally, formulate ideas, use imagination to achieve results</li> <li>Detail-oriented with item by item focus, meticulous attention to detail with ability to proofread for accuracy</li> <li>Judgment with ability to formulate opinions, compare and decide with good sense</li> </ul>
