Overview: <br />Working under minimal supervision of the Manager General Accounting, referring only exceptional problems and issues for management review or approval, the Staff Accountant assists with the preparation of financial statements, including journal entries, analysis, and amortization of certain prepaid expense and accrued liabilities, as well as analysis of expense trends. Reviews new inventory product classification. Prepares SEC filings and various internal reports. Works on special projects as required.
Responsibilities: <br /> <ul> <li>Where applicable, this position assures departmental processes are performed in compliance with applicable Sarbanes-Oxley controls.</li> <li>Maintains account reconciliations for certain balance sheet accounts. Closes related functions-journal entries.</li> <li>Reviews new inventory product classifications.</li> <li>Prepares SEC reporting and internal reports.</li> <li>Performs all other duties or special projects as assigned.</li> </ul> <div>&nbsp;</div>
