Overview: <br />Working under minimal supervision of the Vendor Rebates Supervisor, referring only exceptional problems and issues for management review or approval, the Vendor Rebate Accountant is responsible for day-to-day management of the vendor rebate filings, claiming, and invoicing to vendors along with the vendor account reconciliations and Collections.
Responsibilities: <br />This position supports the implementation and effectiveness of all Connection back-end vendor rebate programs. The Vendor Rebate Accountant maintains vendor rebate revenue to ensure all rebate opportunities are recognized, maximized, claimed, maintained &amp; compliant with vendor and internal finance requirements. The Vendor Rebate Accountant acts as a liaison with Product Management &amp; Connection vendors to analyze and account for the rebate revenue.
Requirements: <br /> <p><strong>Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Extensive eye for detail with ability to identify problems, errors, and omissions.</li> <li>Must have Customer service skills and people orientated.</li> <li>Must be able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.</li> <li>Data entry skills.<span id="selectionBoundary_1623763833583_43123785133432646" class="rangySelectionBoundary"></span></li> </ul> <p><strong><u><br /></u>Technology:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Has technical expertise in a claiming and auditing process.</li> <li>Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, with the ability to create spreadsheets utilizing functions and creating reports with charts, create pivot tables, formulas, sorting.</li> <li>Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word/Office.</li> </ul> <p><strong><u><br /></u>Business Knowledge:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Basic accounting.</li> <li>Must have collection experience in order to collect rebate receivables</li> </ul>
