Full-Time

Overview: The Director, Microsoft Services, relies on experience and judgment to deliver day-to-day management of Connection Microsoft Services' managers and technical resources to support critical initiatives, such as strategic solution development with our customers and aligning with the Connection priorities sales subsidiaries. The Director evolves and grows delivery capabilities for the practice, including leveraging their experience and industry trends to maintain capabilities that align with customers' needs and leverage the latest platform capabilities from Microsoft. As the primary point of contact for the Microsoft Services Practice, the Director provides oversight, guidance, and management for resources within the practice. The Director guides the broader Microsoft COE team to ensure focus on the customers' solution lifecycle and exceed customer expectations on business outcomes. The Director acquires, maintains, and tracks Microsoft funding programs utilized for professional services and value-added consulting engagements with Connection customers.

Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent combination of education and work experience</li> <li>13 plus years experience working in a reseller environment.</li> <li>Advanced skills using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and Microsoft Teams.</li> <li>Intermediate to advanced technical knowledge with experience in selling, consulting, remediation, migration, and/or deployment of Microsoft Services.</li> <li>Attention to detail in composing, keying, and proofing professional business materials.</li> <li>Strong understanding of and working knowledge of the value-added technology industry.</li> <li>Negotiation skills with the ability to meet customer and company needs.</li> <li>Basic operational business knowledge including understanding of basic financial record-keeping, profit, and loss, reporting structure, the chain of command, approvals and workflows, problem-solving, creation of project proposals, and business justification.</li> <li>Basic understanding of human resources concepts such as interview, hiring, and termination processes, as well as performance review and performance improvement, are also required.</li> </ul>
