Overview: The Associate Project Manager (APM) works with the companies internal departments to successfully deliver small to medium less complex projects as assigned. The Associate Project Manager utilizes independent judgment and discretion while following a predefined project management methodology to deliver small, non-complex projects. The APM creates, controls, and drives project delivery utilizing the pre-defined project management lifecycle methodologies. The APM serves as the primary point of contact for project communication and ensures all internal resources and external partners are coordinated to successfully deliver high-quality results. The APM uses work projects to begin the process of obtaining PMP certification.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Excellent written communication skills with the ability to compose professional business communications via email, letters, and proposals.</li> <li>Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to discuss projects and present professional demonstrations</li> <li>Interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with all levels of the organization</li> <li>Organized state of mind with the ability to document activities, anticipate problems, plan schedules and monitor performance according to priorities and deadlines</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent combination of education and work experience and a minimum of 5 years work experience.</li> </ul> <div>Required competencies:</div> <ul> <li>Intermediate Microsoft Office suite knowledge including: Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Project</li> <li>Self-regulated with the ability to take direction and complete assignments with minimal oversight</li> <li>Capacity to proactively communicate with resources to gather project information</li> <li>Aptitude to recognize when to escalate</li> <li>Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, but also as an integral part of a team</li> <li>Demonstrates ability to prioritize and multitask in a fluid fast-paced environment</li> <li>Exhibits basic understanding of IT Governance concepts and ability to ask appropriate questions</li> </ul>
