Overview: <br />The Development Operations Engineer provides hands-on software development and systems operations support for Connection Enterprise's build and release automation services.<br /><br />Position can be based in our Merrimack, NH corporate office or remote anywhere within the US.
Responsibilities: <br />The Engineer owns responsibility for the Red Hat Enterprise Linux infrastructure. The Engineer is part of a team that builds, evaluates, and deploys Connection Corporate applications and platforms. The Engineer participates in the selection process to choose and deploy commercial and open-source tools and technologies to build and support a professional software engineering environment, with an emphasis on operational self-service and continuous integration.
Requirements: <br /> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree (in Computer Science or related field) or the equivalent combination of education and work experience, along with a minimum of 5 years or more work experience.</li> <li>Strong knowledge of Linux, shell-scripting, git</li> <li>Strong knowledge of Red Hat technologies</li> <li>Strong knowledge of Cloud-Based Infrastructure (Azure, AWS, etc.)</li> <li>Experience installing, configuring, and managing Jenkins and/or Bamboo servers and slaves, plugins, and integrations</li> <li>Experience installing, configuring, and managing Gerrit, Crucible, or other code review tools</li> <li>Expertise in performing and automating systems administration tasks</li> <li>Familiar with virtual machines such as VMWare and Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization infrastructure, and containers such as Docker and LXC</li> <li>Experience installing and configuring a variety of SQL and NoSQL databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis</li> </ul>
