They are looking for a solid&nbsp;<strong><u>Network Engineer&nbsp;</u></strong>to bring on board and take ownership of the network infrastructure. This is a&nbsp;<strong><u>Permanent Role</u></strong>&nbsp;with our end client who is a leading manufacturer of chemicals.</p> <p><strong>SHIFT:&nbsp;</strong>M-F; 8:30am-5:00pm; Hybrid Work Model (3 days onsite, 2 in office)<br /><br /></p> <p><strong><u>Who you are:</u></strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience with Aruba NAC -- ClearPass or similar tech.</li> <li>Strong Network Security Aptitude -- firewalls, monitoring, some design.</li> <li>Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.</li> </ul>
Responsibilities: <br /><br /> <ul> <li>On-call support will be necessary for this role -- for incident response and/or project support from time to time.</li> <li>Provide support for global site LAN, SDWAN, wireless, firewall, and telephony -- particularly MS Teams Voice.</li> <li>Establish network monitoring and report on capacity, availability, and performance at monthly IT Operations performance review.</li> <li>Identify areas of improvement: create knowledge articles and procedure documents.</li> <li>Create network diagrams and other supporting documentation for all site networks, WAN firewall, and telephony.</li> <li>Communicate across the business about Critical Network Incidents triaging bridges to ensure quick resolution.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <br /> <ul> <li>5-8 years of experience, working hands-on in a fast-paced IT environment.</li> <li>Experience supporting, configuring, and implementing switches, routers, firewalls, telephony, and SDWAN.</li> <li>Experience with Aruba ClearPass or Network Access Control systems.</li> <li>Ability to design, implement and troubleshoot Wi-Fi and security infrastructure.</li> <li>Manufacturing experience is preferred.</li> <li>Any certifications in HP Aruba, Velocloud, or Palo Alto is a plus.</li> <li>Some travel (3-5 times a month) to Northbrook site.</li> </ul>
