Overview: <br />Working under direct supervision of the Manager, Small Business Team, selecting from a variety of established procedures to accomplish assigned duties and responsibilities, the Small Business Sales Representative establishes new accounts through outbound phone calls to leads, new and existing customers.&nbsp;
Responsibilities: <br /> <ul> <li>The Sales Rep develops and manages long-term sales relationships with the company's small business customers. Through assessing customer needs and providing viable technology options, the Sales Rep ensures account growth in line with individual and company goals.</li> <li>Develops relationships with potential customers through prospecting, account qualification, and outbound phone cold calling in the hopes of establishing long-term business relationships.</li> <li>Prospects online to identify potential new customers through research.</li> <li>Qualifies accounts by determining if the company is of the appropriate size, who the main point of contact is for the organization, and determine company's IT spend potential.</li> <li>Makes outbound cold calls to potential customers soliciting in an attempt to establish a relationship leading to future sales.</li> <li>Maintains relationships with established customers to ensure repeat business.</li> <li>Communicates and follows up with customers on a regular basis in order to keep conversations open to future sales.</li> <li>During customer communication, continues to discover how customers operate their business and what technologies they utilize to conduct that business; keeping an open ear to discover any areas for improvement in their IT infrastructure.</li> <li>Ensures customer is informed in a timely manner on the status of any issues, orders, or other inquiries.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <br /> <ul> <li> <p>Researches and engages appropriate internal and external resources to develop IT solutions to meet customer needs</p> </li> <li> <p>Engages vendors, tech support, Ingram Micro, etc. as needed</p> </li> <li> <p>Develops customer solutions based on customer needs and input from appropriate resources</p> </li> <li> <p>Engages appropriate Connection resources to provide appropriate pricing for customer while maintaining maximum profit margin.</p> </li> <li> <p>Ensures accuracy of information based on proposed solution.</p> </li> <li> <p>Delivers quotes and pricing within customer time constraints.</p> </li> <li> <p>Revises quotes and pricing based on feedback from customer or the customers changing needs.</p> </li> <li> <p>Ensures customer is kept apprised of any stock limitations or other issues that arise for solution being proposed.</p> </li> <li> <p>Keeps apprised of most up-to-date and state of the art solutions through training and other educational activities.</p> </li> <li> <p>Attends vendor training, some of which will be mandatory.</p> </li> <li> <p>Reviews company intranet for any relevant changes to vendor information, etc.</p> </li> <li> <p>Uses PPCU training as necessary.</p> </li> <li> <p>Engages vendors at site to explore their products and technologies/offerings</p> </li> <li>Performs all other duties or special projects as assigned.</li> </ul> <br />
