Overview: Connection Enterprise Solutions is a profitable $1B+ company focusing on providing technology solutions for the Fortune 2000, located in Boca Raton, Florida. Connection Enterprise Solutions is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Connection (CNXN), a $2.5 Billion+ publicly traded company located in Merrimack, NH.<br /> <p><strong>Job Summary:</strong></p> <p>In conjunction with the regional sales teams, the Director of Business Development will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities and key service trends. The position's primary objective is to assist Connection's Account Managers in prospecting, qualifying, presenting and selling Connection's offering to the existing client base as well as developing new prospect opportunities throughout the marketplace.</p>
Responsibilities: <p>40%</p> <p>The Director, Business Development will also be responsible for the growth of solutions within the existing customer base and winning new accounts with solutions led sales. This role will provide territory intelligence and will be the "go to" key resource for services opportunity development for the entire sales organization. This position will identify, forecast, and pursue opportunities through the entire sales cycle, from opportunity creation to the sales close. This position will be responsible for the services revenue and gross profit goals related to Connection solutions offering. Working with RFP team to develop and clarify content and work on tie breaker strategies with RFP team and EAEs.</p> <p>20%</p> <p>This position will work daily in an effort to develop and deliver Connection solutions value proposition, assist the sales team to generate sales and grow their customer base, while also developing and maintaining strong executive relationships throughout the IT channel. In conjunction with the Regional VP of Sales, sales team, and other senior management, this role will develop and execute key account strategies with a common goal of building Connection's sales to exceed quarterly goals and quotas.</p> <p>&nbsp;20%</p> <p>This position also carries the responsibility of coordinating and managing the in-field activities between our primary partners, as well as the sales team and professional services team from Connection Technical Services Group</p> <p>10%</p> <p>The position will also be required to attend and participate in weekly sales meetings, as well as the weekly Boiler Room calls, weekly management meetings; Forecast Calls; and Dashboard calls.</p> <p>10%</p> <p>The position will also be required to submit a weekly/monthly pipeline report to the executives</p> <p>5% Performs all other duties or special projects as assigned.</p>
Requirements: <p>Minimum of 5 years' experience and a proven track record of success as a Director / Manager / of Services Development working for a Value Added Reseller, IT Product Manufacturer, or IT Product Distributor.</p> <ul> <li>Working knowledge of the IT Valued Added Reseller Channel including familiarity with manufacturers, distributors, service providers, and IT Products.</li> <li>Strong record of success in business development to medium and large corporate clients.</li> <li>Experience leveraging integration and service partners to develop new account wins.</li> <li>Experience with understanding current Medium to large (Enterprise) customer's needs for help and service in Virtualization, Data and Storage Management, Windows server and client environments, networking and unified communications, and lifecycle management.</li> <li>A strong ability to present and sell solutions to "C" level executives and decision makers in target customers.</li> <li>Skills in: face-to-face presentations to customers; negotiating, closing sales, account management, leadership; written and oral communications; time management for self and others; Microsoft Office suite of products in a Windows environment.</li> <li>Ability to: multi-task, responds to rapid change, manage projects, manage detail, manage people and resources, set realistic and achievable goals/objectives and timelines.</li> </ul>
