Overview: <p>Connection has a fantastic opportunity through our technical staffing division in Sparks, Nevada. We are looking for an&nbsp;<strong><u>IT Inventory Technician</u></strong>. This is a permanent, full time position within our organization on one of our most progressive client sites. The position comes with an excellent benefits package which includes -- among other benefits -- health, dental, 401k matching, and a generous PTO allotment.</p> <p><strong>The Role</strong></p> <p>This position within the IT Vendor &amp; Inventory Management teams will handle day-to-day asset life-cycle transactions ranging from inventory tracking to disposal. These duties will be performed in compliance with policy guidelines and within time-frames as defined in the team's project requirements.</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Stocking/re-stocking of IT equipment within vending machines in Tesla's Bay Area locations</li> <li>Coordinating all computer repairs (warranty &amp; non-warranty) for all Bay Area locations <ul> <li>Picking up broken laptops from IT Walk-up locations</li> <li>Basic troubleshooting to determine what is broken</li> <li>Opening and managing repair tickets via HP's portal</li> <li>Packaging equipment for safe and secure shipment to/from depot</li> <li>Returning repaired laptops to IT Walk-up locations</li> </ul> </li> <li>Packing and Shipping of aged equipment for disposal</li> <li>Record keeping within shared Excel files and/or ServiceNow to track assets</li> <li>Travel to Bay Area locations using Tesla's internal shuttle service to perform job duties <ul> <li>Any travel is via Tesla shuttles unless the person happens to live closer to the facility.</li> </ul> </li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Mechanically inclined, with an aptitude and understanding of the technical aspects of IT equipment (laptops, desktops, tablets, accessories)</li> <li>Knowledge and experience with the following: Windows OS (v 7, 8, and 10), MS Office with a focus on Excel, asset management and ticketing systems</li> <li>Excellent attention to detail and rigorous process discipline</li> <li>Self-managed and committed to working in a fast-paced environment</li> <li>Professional and positive communication skills</li> <li>A passion for IT technology and delighting customers with stellar service</li> <li>IT related training or experience is a plus</li> </ul>
