Overview: Working under minimal supervision of the Manager, Digital Marketing, referring only exceptional problems and issues for management review or approval, the Email Marketing Specialist handles the day-to-day function of the email channel as well as fostering improvement and growth. S/he works with the Digital Marketing Managers, as well as others within the organization (i.e. Product Management), to meet their communication needs.
Responsibilities: <p>Execution of email campaigns includes sending emails to new prospects, reengaging with existing dormant customers, promoting company events, and more. The Specialist improves the effectiveness of the email channel, including cleaning and growing the customer/prospect database(s), as well as properly selecting the right audience for each campaign, to increase user engagement and conversion rates.</p> <p>Additionally, the Email Marketing Specialist contributes to the company's digital lead generation activities. Working cross-functionally, s/he works with the Digital Marketing Team as well as Marketing, Product Management, and Sales to capture leads on the websites. The Specialist creates lead capture forms for deployment on the sites -- working to improve conversion rates, increasing the number of leads generated, as well as maintaining the quality of the leads.</p>
Requirements: <ul> <li data-darkreader-inline-color="">Four plus years of work experience in email marketing, digital marketing, E-Commerce or a similar environment with a B2B focus.</li> <li data-darkreader-inline-color="">Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or similar principle.</li> <li data-darkreader-inline-color="">Hands-on use of email marketing platforms, Marketo preferred.</li> <li data-darkreader-inline-color="">Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel with ability to create complex spreadsheets using formulas, including v-lookup, and pivot tables.</li> <li data-darkreader-inline-color="">Working knowledge of creating and implementing lead capture forms.</li> <li data-darkreader-inline-color="">Basic understanding of Marketing Automation solutions.</li> <li data-darkreader-inline-color="">Basic understanding of website architecture and basic web development skills, including HTML/CSS and CMS systems, with ability to engage with the development team.</li> <li data-darkreader-inline-color="">Understanding of email marketing strategies and experience with campaign execution, including brand/product awareness, lead generation, and transactional campaigns.</li> <li data-darkreader-inline-color="">Analytical skills with ability to monitor email channel performance, quantify and identify areas for improvement.</li> <li data-darkreader-inline-color="">Analytical (data-driven) approach to plan, execute, and review email and lead generation improvement projects.</li> <li data-darkreader-inline-color="">Collaboration skills with ability to work with external vendors and internal cross-functional teams.</li> <li data-darkreader-inline-color="">Communication skills with ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization</li> <li data-darkreader-inline-color="">Organizational and project management skills with ability to plan and implement website changes</li> <li data-darkreader-inline-color="">Multi-tasking skills with ability to manage different projects at various stages of development.</li> </ul>
