Overview: The Director, Project Management Office (PMO) relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, drives best practices through the implementation of project management methodologies, governances, and tools.&nbsp;
Responsibilities: The Director&nbsp;improves the consistency, predictability and efficiency of the organization's project delivery capability. The Director provides leadership in best practices inclusive of standardized but scalable project management disciplines to increase project success. Develops a framework for building out a PMO Portfolio with the appropriate governance to estimate, staff and prioritize project execution. The Director also ensures that the operational issues of the PMO are managed, focusing on the project interface with project leaders, project teams, technology and interface issues.
Requirements: Requires a Bachelor's Degree (n IT or related discipline) or the equivalent of education and work experience. Requires a minimum of 15 years of progressively responsible work experience in project planning and leading large scope projects, with at least 8 years of management experience.<br /><br /><strong>Technology</strong><br /><br /> <ul> <li>Advanced Microsoft Office skills to include creating presentations, creating documents in Word to included advanced formatting, creating spreadsheets to include the use of macros.</li> <li>Working knowledge of Project Management Book of Knowledge (PMBOK)</li> <li>Applicable knowledge of the technologies used by PMO, such as SharePoint</li> </ul>
