Overview: <p>Connection has an excellent full time, permanent position in our technical services division. We are looking for a&nbsp;<strong><u>Senior NOC Engineer</u></strong>&nbsp;to support our customers' IT environments. Our office is located in Schaumburg, however, this role can be done from home. Responsibilities: <ul> <li>You are a key stakeholder in incident response, troubleshooting, network planning, and procedures development.</li> <li>Perform system network and design in order to conduct high-level system analysis.</li> <li>Planning and coordinating installations and deployments.</li> <li>Identify ways to improve existing systems, determine cost benefits, and recommend solutions.</li> <li>You will be supporting a variety of Connection customers who have various technical environments, SLA's and technical needs.</li> </ul> <div id="gtx-trans" style="position: absolute; left: -43px; top: -20.0028px;">&nbsp;</div>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Strong familiarity with ITIL best practices while working from a ticketing system as part of a larger team.</li> <li>Clearly communicating and following expectations of all firewall, server, and networking engineering tasks.</li> <li>Conduct network audits; perform network testing (regression, functionality, and performance).</li> <li>Expert understanding of networking principals (IP addressing, subnets, routing, and switching.</li> <li>Understanding of server O/S (Windows) and of Microsoft SCCM.</li> </ul>
