Overview: Connection has a fantastic opportunity through our technical staffing division in Austin, TX. We are looking for an IT Support Technician. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with an immediate start.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Assist in the installation and maintenance of software used throughout the Company.</li> <li>Install new phones and program extensions.</li> <li>Install, maintain and manage the security system.</li> <li>Install new and repaired computer technology.</li> <li>Repair all computer systems and related electronic equipment.</li> <li>Replace hardware such as; disk drives, printers, cables, scanners, etc.</li> <li>Perform warranty service, preventative maintenance, and cleaning on all computer equipment.</li> <li>Maintain a close partnership with departmental teams to ensure computer needs are satisfied in a timely fashion.</li> <li>Troubleshoot basic network issues.</li> <li>Performs other job duties as assigned.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Proven experience as a computer technician or similar role</li> <li>Experience with LAN/WAN networks</li> <li>Thorough knowledge of computer systems and IT components</li> <li>Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles</li> <li>Excellent troubleshooting skills</li> <li>Very good communication abilities</li> <li>Exceptional organizing and time-management skills</li> <li>"On-call" recurring schedule for approximately 2 weeks every month to cover nights and weekends for emergencies and off-hour installations.</li> </ul>
