Overview: <p>Reporting to the Assistant Corporate Controller, referring only to exceptional problems and issues for management review or approval, the Services Accountant and Financial Analyst is responsible for the accounting and financial reporting for the Technology Solutions Group (TSG) Services and Lifecycle Services (LCS) division. The Services Accountant and Financial Analyst utilizes independent judgment and discretion to address daily and periodic operations of accounting functions and internal controls. The Services Accountant and Financial Analyst partners with the Services and LCS operations teams to develop the division's financial plan, forecasts, and utilization reporting. The Services Accountant and Financial Analyst compares actual results against plan and prior year. Functions include month-end close activities, bi-weekly payroll processing, commission calculations, and account reconciliation activities. The Services Accountant and Financial Analyst also works with the Billing department to ensure that Services billing is processed in a timely and efficient manner and develops process improvements as needed.</p> <p>The Services Accountant and Finance Analyst assures departmental processes are performed in compliance with applicable Sarbanes-Oxley controls.</p>
Responsibilities: <strong>General Ledger Accounting</strong><br /> <ul> <li>Ensures accurate accounting and financial reporting for the Technology Solutions Group (TSG) and Lifecycle Services (LCS) divisions. Interprets and analyzes general ledger accounting for Services. Provides quarterly audit support and responds to additional Auditor' requests as necessary.</li> <li>Prepares, reconciles, and inputs monthly journal entries and supporting schedules.</li> <li>Reviews GL activity and reconciles account balances monthly.</li> </ul> <br /><br /><strong>Financial Analysis</strong><br /> <ul> <li>Partners with Services management to develop the annual financial plan, forecasts, and ad hoc reporting. Improves financial status by analyzing results; monitoring variances; identifying trends; recommending actions by management.</li> <li>Prepares and provides internal and external utilization reports to senior service and finance management.</li> <li>Prepares and analyzes services P&amp;L on a monthly basis, comparing results against the prior year and plan.</li> </ul> <br /><strong>Billing Process Management</strong><br /> <ul> <li>Ensures timely and accurate review of new Services contracts and Services billing.</li> <li>Partners with the BCA department to ensure that Services billing is processed timely and accurately in accordance with the statement of work in a timely and efficient manner. Develops process improvements as needed.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills with ability to create complex spreadsheets using formulas, including v-lookup, and pivot tables.</li> <li>Technical aptitude with ability to absorb and apply newly learned technical skills</li> <li>Working knowledge of ERP systems.</li> <li>Proven knowledge of monthly GL accounting processes, billing and payroll in progressively responsible positions.</li> <li>Problem solving skills with ability to troubleshoot issues with accounting, billing or payroll processing.</li> <li>Well versed in Accounting rules and regulations pertaining to publicly traded companies</li> <li>Strong relationship skills with ability work well with all levels of the management team.</li> <li>Analytical with ability to draw conclusions from data and detect trends, systematic and rational</li> <li>Articulate with ability to express oneself clearly and professionally in written and oral communication</li> <li>Adaptable with ability to switch tasks based on shifting priorities</li> <li>Inquisitive information seeker with ability to ask probing questions to uncover root causes of problems</li> <li>Judgment with ability to formulate opinions, compare and decide with good sense</li> <li>Detail oriented with item by item focus, meticulous attention to detail with ability to proofread for accuracy</li> <li>Quick study with ability to master a situation or learn new things with minimum direction or training</li> <li>Organized state of mind with ability to document activities, anticipate problems, plan schedules and monitor performance according to priorities and deadlines</li> <li>Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent combination of education and work experience in accounting and finance.​</li> <li>Minimum of 3 years' experience in progressively responsible roles preferred</li> </ul>
