Overview: The Business Development Manager (BDM), works independently with little or no direct supervision under guidance of the Director, GlobalServe Solutions Enterprise utilizing independent judgement and discretion in selection, development and coordination of methods within a broad framework. The BDM, is a field based position, and is primarily responsible for identifying and generating new business.
Responsibilities: The Business Development Manager's overall responsibilities include meeting or exceeding Revenue and GP targets; prospecting and developing accounts through a strategic and consultative approach; and developing relationships with our strategic business partners/vendors to help grow key/focus accounts. The BDM presents to all levels of client management including C level executives at a strategic level and may represent GlobalServe at customer/vendor events.
Requirements: <ul> <li>Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook)</li> <li>Working knowledge of CRM and other sales software tools</li> <li>Understanding inside sales strategies and upselling for upgrades and other add on products</li> <li>Customer oriented with ability to listen to and anticipate needs of the customer</li> <li>Extensive Sales experience with an emphasis on developing new customer accounts.</li> <li>Business analysis skills with ability to understand the customer's business environment</li> <li>Adaptable with ability to switch tasks based on shifting priorities</li> <li>Articulate with ability to express oneself clearly and professionally in written and oral communication</li> <li>Organized state of mind with ability to document activities, anticipate problems, plan schedules and monitor performance according to priorities and deadlines</li> <li>Quick study with ability to master a situation or learn new things with minimum direction or training</li> <li>Strategic thinker in future-oriented terms who anticipates and considers external and internal elements with ability to develop long-term plans to leverage resources</li> <li>Excellent communications skills (written and verbal)</li> <li>IT VAR industry knowledge a plus</li> <li>Supply chain knowledge helpful</li> </ul>
