Overview: Working under minimal supervision of the Practice Director or Manager, referring problems and issues for management review or approval, the Associate Systems Engineer (SE) handles a combination of field deployable engineering activities such as pre-sales configuration and consulting activities, skills and certification maintenance, engineering laboratory research and technology development tasks.&nbsp;
Responsibilities: The Assoc SE primarily works to maintain a high level of billable utilization, which is a combination of customer on-site installation and system deployment, configuration, system troubleshooting, performance optimization, and documentation. The Assoc Systems Engineer is an entry level role with some technical knowledge and education but limited application or practical work experience, independently completes less complex projects and/or partial project assignments under the guidance of a higher level systems engineer or a manager. Works toward entry level certifications.&nbsp;
Requirements: <ul> <li> Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with ability to create a document or simple spreadsheet.</li> <li>Entry level in MS Visio Diagraming software.</li> <li> Entry level in SharePoint technology.</li> <li> Competent level in development of Product Bill of Materials and basic system designs.</li> <li> Competent level of post-sales installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.</li> <li> Knowledgeable of fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of other field of specialization (Software/Applications, Server, Storage, Networks, Security, Mobility).</li> <li>Basic business knowledge and the interest in learning business outcomes to understand a customer's strategic business objectives.</li> <li>Excellent verbal communication skills with ability to translate technology related jargon to diverse groups of technical and non- technical users.</li> <li>Excellent written communication skills with ability to develop technical documents.</li> <li>Demonstrates a drive for achievement, adaptability/flexibility, dependability, persistence, and tolerance of stressful situations.</li> <li>Self-motivated with ability to perform quality work within deadlines and budget with or without direct supervision.</li> <li>Strong analytical thinking, problem solving, appropriate judgment, and decision making skills.<br /></li> </ul>
