Overview: The Data Analyst develops and executes fact-based, data-driven analysis and reporting to empower Sales, Marketing, Product Management, and other sales enablement organizations to identify target customers or prospects, maximize sales growth and profitability through new customer acquisition, increased customer penetration, and retention, and increased gross profit. The Data Analyst synthesizes data to build queries using a suite of analytics tools, identifies opportunities for increased focus such as underpenetrated accounts, and combines quantitative findings with practical insights to ensure results are actionable and measurable. The Data Analyst works directly with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and subsequently summarizes the analysis in a format that highlights the results and actionable recommendations to be consumed in an effort to improve business performance.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Practical experience working with relational database tools</li> <li>Advanced Microsoft Office skills in Excel to utilize formulas, including v-lookup, creating pivot tables, creating macros and utilizing VBA to automate reports; Access for data import, analysis, export; PowerPoint to create slides providing analytic findings and recommendations</li> <li>Demonstrated advanced proficiency in business intelligence tools such as Business Objects, Power BI and SAS (ability to use DATA steps)</li> <li>Advanced experience working with SQL with ability to use PROC SQL statements</li> <li>Understanding of customer lifecycle with ability to follow purchase patterns</li> <li>Understanding of opportunity lifecycle from discovery to cash with ability to understand customer patterns</li> <li>Strong analytical skills with ability to analyze customer trends</li> <li>Strong business acumen including but not limited to marketing and sales cycles</li> <li>Understanding of web analytics and ability to derive customer insights and relationships</li> </ul> <div id="gtx-trans" style="position: absolute; left: -66px; top: 26px;">&nbsp;</div>
