Overview: Continuum of Colorado has an exciting opportunity for a Health Services Manager who will get to provide supervision to nurses and oversee the provision of health care for individuals who receive services in residential, day program and worksite settings. Responsibilities: <p><strong>More About What You&rsquo;ll Get To Do As Our Health Services Manager! </strong></p> <ul> <li>Direct the activities of the Nurse(s) and provide clear objectives and offer support as needed.</li> <li>Address employee disciplinary issues (in consultation with Director or designee) and document as appropriate.</li> <li>Evaluate performance of supervised employees and assure performance evaluations are implemented and regularly reviewed.</li> <li>Review and assure appropriate processing of related documents for individuals in services, (that is physician statements).</li> <li>Communicate and consult with appropriate internal or external providers regarding medical/behavioral needs and concerns.</li> <li>Receive, organize and distribute physician orders and medication administration records.</li> <li>Coordinate monthly medication orders and distribution of received medication.</li> <li>Assure coordination of medical, laboratory and dental care and follow up as required.</li> <li>Assure medical information is available for on-call coverage system to function appropriately.</li> <li>Coordinate medically related projects and programs.</li> <li>Serve as liaison between agency and medical facilities for all medical hospital admissions, physicians and pharmacies, as needed.</li> <li>Receive, review and approve pharmacy billings and submit for payment.</li> <li>Approve budget requests for training, nursing conferences and journals, etc.</li> <li>Create and update medical protocols and various forms and procedures.</li> <li>Complete, review and approve medical and health-related documents, as required.</li> <li>Assure regular medical record reviews.</li> <li>Provide on-call and after-hours consultation and/or evaluation for urgent and emergency situations as needed.</li> <li>Participate in case reviews, medication reviews, medical chart audits and clinics, as needed.</li> <li>Cover Nurse Caseloads, as needed.</li> <li>Provide medication administration training and conduct educational in-services.</li> <li>Orient and train new Nurse(s).</li> <li>Obtain internal and external education and training in order to maintain a level of professional competency.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong>Must Have&rsquo;s To Be Our Health Services Manager</strong></p> <ul> <li>Registered Nurse License required.</li> <li>A minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience is required.</li> <li>Two (2) years of clinical or home-based nursing preferred. Prior experience in developmental disabilities preferred.</li> <li>Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.</li> <li>Excellent oral and written communication skills; able to effectively work with individuals in service, staff, families and others.</li> <li>Strong organizational skills.</li> <li>Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with a diverse group of individuals and agencies.</li> <li>Ability to work flexible hours.</li> <li>Ability to meet physical demands of the position.</li> <li>Ability to perform computer functions necessary to carry out job responsibilities.</li> </ul> <p><strong>The Other Stuff You Need </strong></p> <ul> <li>Personal vehicle in good operating condition for use during work as appropriate.</li> <li>Valid Colorado motor-vehicle license and proof of adequate motor vehicle insurance.</li> <li>Meet and maintain agency driving requirements.</li> </ul> <p><strong>What are our agency driving requirements? </strong></p> <ul> <li>Show three (3) current, consecutive years of driving history</li> <li>No suspensions or revocations during that period for any reason</li> <li>No serious violations in the past three (3) years</li> <li>No more than two moving violations in the past three (3) years</li> </ul> <p><em>Please note that we will pull your Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) in all states that you have had a driver&rsquo;s license in during the past 3 years as part of our hiring process. Upon hire, we monitor all employees&rsquo; MVRs on a monthly basis. You&rsquo;ll need to have a pretty clean driving record to be employed with us!</em></p>
