Responsibilities: What You Get To Do: <br /><br />Change the lives of those in your care! <br /><br />The Facility Locksmith installs, maintains and repairs facility locks and related hardware for correctional facility. Troubleshoots, repairs and installs commercial and industrial security door locking hardware. Maintains master keying systems for both standard and small formats.<br /> <ul> <li>Performs preventive maintenance, diagnoses and corrects problems involving various components.</li> <li>Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, latches, keepers and hinges.</li> <li>Operates a variety of equipment such as hand tools, welding equipment, laptop computers and diagnostic hardware to perform work.</li> <li>Inspects and listens to equipment to diagnose malfunctions.</li> <li>Dismantles defective or malfunctioning machines and equipment, installs new or repaired parts, and tests operation following repair.</li> <li>Prepares and maintains a variety of standard operating records and reports, as required.</li> <li>Process all work orders, reports, and other documents in a timely manner.</li> <li>Completes assignments based on urgency and scheduled needs.</li> <li>Coordinates with facility Maintenance Supervisor in completing high priority repairs and preventive maintenance to ensure safe and secure facility system operations.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul><li>High School diploma, GED certification or equivalent is required.</li><li>Two years of experience with detention, commercial and industrial, mechanical and electronic locking systems hardware installation is required.</li><li>Locksmith certification and/or completion of Architectural Hardware Certification training preferred. </li><li>A valid driver's license is required.</li><li>Minimum Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years of age. </li></ul>
