Responsibilities: What You Get To Do: The Senior Director, Network Management serves as the operations and finance leader on the health services leadership team working collaboratively with facility leadership, offsite providers and a variety of FSC departments to develop, implement, operate and monitor financial and operational processes and strategies. This position is responsible for financial analysis, operating improvement, key performance indicator monitoring, scheduling, claims processing, as well as network development and managed care contracting. The position oversees a team of schedulers, payer contractors and claims processing with direct report managers from each of those three teams. The position consults with the VP of Health Services and other company leaders to guide and influence long term and strategic decision making.<br /> <ul> <li>Oversees financial analysis, opportunity assessments, key performance indicators for provider network development, offsite scheduling and claims processing.</li> <li>Provides creative alternatives and recommendations to improve patient scheduling efficiency, reduce operating and unnecessary medical costs, while improving financial and operating performance.</li> <li>Assembles, organizes, analyzes and summarizes disparate and complex data to structure high value reports on operating performance, medical utilization, financial status and risks.</li> <li>Oversees department budgets, flex budgets, and helps inform the divisional budget for Health Services. Develops financial models for decision support, performance benchmarking and process analysis and improvement, while highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance.</li> <li>Conducts business studies on past, future and comparative performance and develops forecast models. Identifies trends, advises company and recommends actions based on sound analysis.</li> <li>Conducts financial performance analysis of managed care contracts. Produces reports and data analysis for budgeting, revenue forecasting, strategic planning and modeling tools. Reviews and analyzes contract rates and language.</li> <li>Evaluates new contract proposals from payers.</li> <li>Prepares detailed claims adjudication analysis and makes recommendations to optimize provider networks, utilization and total network spend.</li> <li>Resolves operational problems by analyzing root causes of inefficiency and providing resolution.</li> <li>Develops preventive measures, documents issue resolution procedures and recommends process improvements to improve operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.</li> <li>Analyzes process workflows, employee and space requirements and equipment layout; recommends and implements changes for operating improvement and new service implementation.</li> <li>Monitors key claims, scheduling and payer contracting support systems, identifies inefficiencies, troubleshoots problems, and recommends solutions.</li> <li>Also recommends and selects system changes that optimize staff productivity, reporting, accuracy and operating efficiency.</li> <li>Drives process improvement and policy development initiatives that impact the function.</li> <li>Works closely with accounting, accounts payable, IT, legal, Regional Directors, Wardens, Business Office Managers and HSA's to design, implement and optimize policies, procedures and systems and to follow through with implementation.</li> <li>Coordinates the development of presentation packages and makes verbal presentations to executive management for decision-making purposes.</li> <li>Conducts and completes due diligence for acquisitions.</li> <li>Domestic U.S travel required.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor&rsquo;s degree required.</li> <li>Additional experience may be substituted for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis, up to two years.</li> <li>Seven years of health care experience, including five years of network work management experience is required.</li> <li>Knowledge of correctional healthcare regulations, techniques and standards preferred.</li> <li>Must demonstrate excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills.</li> <li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required. A valid driver&rsquo;s license is required.</li> <li>Minimum Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.</li> </ul>
