Overview: <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Assists clinical or program staff in providing services to meet therapeutic treatment plan, in various settings, in accordance with the client&rsquo;s needs, applicable contracts, laws and standards of practice.</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>May assist in coordinating and providing services to clients onsite/on campus or in the client&rsquo;s home.</li> <li>May provide clinical assistance to program staff and assist in appropriate treatment interventions.</li> <li>May maintain client files and assist in a centralized charting system.</li> <li>May assist in writing monthly client reports.</li> <li>May develop and maintain assessments, treatment plans and goal sheets.</li> <li>May assist and maintain current discharge planning.</li> <li>Facilitate or co-facilitate group therapy including maintaining daily chart entries.</li> <li>Attend weekly supervision.</li> <li>Conduct individual and/or family therapy.</li> <li>Assist in crisis intervention when indicated.</li> <li>With supervision, may provide individual and/or multifamily group therapy to assigned clients.</li> <li>Provide feedback about clients for psychological and/or psychiatric evaluations and services as indicated.</li> <li>Maintain a professional environment in keeping with state, county, CSCF, and TJC guidelines and regulations.</li> <li>May offer appropriate referrals for needed services.</li> <li>Follow all CSCF personnel policies and contract stipulations.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><u><strong>Minimum Qualifications:</strong></u></p> <ul> <li>Graduate student enrolled in MS, MA, or MSW program in the related field of social services.</li> </ul> <br /> <p><u><strong>Practicum Student Limitations/Additional Requirements</strong></u><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>:</strong></span></p> <p>Based on agency policies and contracts, practicum students may&nbsp;<u>NOT</u>&nbsp;perform the following duties:</p> <ul> <li>Practicum students are not to administer medications.</li> <li>Practicum students are not to be used in the staff ratio for coverage.</li> <li>Practicum students are not to be in contact with clients and their families outside of the assigned practicum hours.</li> <li>Practicum students are not to participate in any physical restraint with clients. (No hands-on of any kind).</li> <li>Practicum students may not drive/transport clients unless s/he has submitted the following items to Human Resource: current driver&rsquo;s license, copy of current vehicle insurance, DMV report. In addition, a Vehicle Safety Checklist is required for those placed in the Foster Care program. Mileage compensation will be given, as approved, for travel between office sites to assigned location.</li> <li>For Foster Care, students MUST have current training in CPR and First Aid in order to complete practicum student tasks (i.e., will be alone with and transport clients). For other programs, CPR and First Aid are only required if a practicum student's assigned tasks include him/her being alone with a client.</li> </ul> <br /> <p><strong>Any infraction against the above-stated policies can result in termination from the practicum and will be reported to the appropriate department (i.e., school, police, etc.)<br /><br /></strong>EOE, including disability/vets<strong><br /></strong></p>
