Overview: <p>The semi-truck driver is responsible for cement powder&rsquo;s short and long-haul delivery. You will be home every night and an integral part of exciting projects. Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Operate a semi safely and productively to haul cement powder and miscellaneous support equipment as needed.</li> <li>Perform maintenance on assigned trucks and other equipment as needed.</li> <li>Complete pre- and post-shift inspections and assist with equipment repairs as needed.</li> <li>Set up and tear down job sites when moving to and from locations (as needed).</li> <li>Record any maintenance issues in the truck logbook and ensure the supervisor is aware of any maintenance issues that would inhibit work production or create safety concerns.</li> <li>Properly secure loads to meet laws and safety regulations.</li> <li>Maintain vehicles in a clean, organized, and safe manner.</li> <li>Team player mentality and eagerness to cross-train on topics such as dispatching, batching, mechanics, etc.</li> <li>Willingness to perform duties outside the normal scope of work as this job description is non-exhaustive.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Consent to authorization of a pre-employment work screen, Motor Vehicle Record request, and drug test.</li> <li>Class A CDL with doubles and pneumatic cement bulker hauling and Medical DOT card.</li> <li>Personal protective equipment is required.</li> <li>Possess excellent communication skills and understand instructions in both written and verbal forms.</li> <li>Dependability and reliability by showing up to scheduled shifts on time and being prepared for work.</li> <li>A positive attitude is critical to ensure productive working relationships with co-workers and management.</li> <li>Continuous exposure to weather elements including heat, cold, noise, dusty conditions, and working outdoors.</li> <li>Overnight travel is not standard but may be required.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Physical Requirements</strong></p> <ul> <li>Ability to reach below/at/above shoulders.</li> <li>Pushing/Pulling/Twisting/Bending.</li> <li>Sitting/Standing/Balancing.</li> <li>Operate hand and foot controls.</li> <li>Simple/Firm grasping/Pinching.</li> <li>Ability to lift/lower/carry over 50 pounds.</li> <li>Squatting/Stooping/Crouching/Kneeling/Crawling.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p>
