Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Assist with pre-construction, construction, and close phases of construction projects.</li> <li>Assemble the metal framework of new buildings or structures by fitting together steel girders, pipework, and beams.</li> <li>Execute proper safety using harnesses, lifts, scaffolding, safety nets, use of hand signals, etc.</li> <li>May often be carried out at heights from elevated platforms.</li> <li>Complete facility wiring, circuit testing, and motor repair.</li> <li>Effectively operate a variety of saws, air tools, and general hand or power tools.</li> <li>Weld and use a cutting torch.</li> <li>Make general repairs to facilities as well as troubleshoot issues (hydraulics, pumps, motors).</li> <li>Lift heavy objects, maintain, repair, and clean equipment.</li> <li>Willingness to perform duties outside the normal scope of work as this job description is non-exhaustive.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Consent to authorization of a pre-employment work screen, Motor Vehicle Record request, and drug test.</li> <li>Ability to climb ladders and perform work on buildings of all heights.</li> <li>Basic maintenance skills.</li> <li>Fabrication skills (i.e., welding and electrical).</li> <li>Experience and knowledge of general construction and operating equipment.</li> <li>Personal protective equipment is required.</li> <li>Dependability and reliability by showing up to scheduled shifts on time and being prepared for work.</li> <li>A positive attitude is critical to ensure productive working relationships with co-workers and management.</li> <li>Continuous exposure to weather elements including heat, cold, noise, dusty conditions, and working outdoors.</li> <li>Overnight travel is standard during peak season.</li> </ul> <br /><br />Physical Requirements<br /><br /> <ul> <li>Ability to reach below/at/above shoulders</li> <li>Pushing/Pulling/Twisting/Bending</li> <li>Sitting/Standing/Balancing</li> <li>Operate hand and foot controls</li> <li>Simple/Firm grasping/Pinching</li> <li>Ability to lift/lower/carry over 50 pounds</li> <li>Squatting/Stooping/Crouching/Kneeling/Crawling</li> </ul>
