Competitive Compensation and Benefits Package

Overview: Facilitate the development and commercialization of frames and components manufactured in China. Service CSG Design and Product Management teams by traveling and working directly with key factories and suppliers.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Collaboration with Design Engineer / Industrial Design teams globally to develop industry leading designs within CSG&rsquo;s manufacturing supply chain in China.</li> <li>Work with Design Engineer and suppliers to get final/approved specifications, drawings, and renderings.</li> <li>Review and give feedback on the design for manufacturing and assembly.</li> <li>Facilitate design package hand-off meeting with a supplier.</li> <li>PFMEA creation and action plan ownership.</li> <li>Lead First Article Inspection, fit-and-function, testing non-conformance root cause, and corrective/preventative actions.</li> <li>Communicate tooling, sample making, and testing status to project team.</li> <li>Support vendor process development regarding manufacturing methods needed to make a product to specifications.</li> <li>Assist Design Engineering to achieve price targets with manufacturing method research and recommendations.</li> <li>Work with suppliers to paint mask design and paint process improvements.</li> <li>Manage and conduct process improvement initiatives with suppliers.</li> <li>Recognize incorrect operations and manage the action plan with the vendor to correct them.</li> <li>Conduct meetings and answer for production variances.</li> <li>Analyze tooling and fixturing requirements.</li> <li>Support CSG Quality Management System, including First Article Inspection, process flow charts, and control plans.</li> <li>Review process documentation against actual build methods.</li> <li>Understand and analyze tolerance requirements.</li> <li>Act as the liaison between Design Engineering and the vendor.</li> <li>Qualify new suppliers and new processes.</li> <li>Assist Design Engineers with prototype development.</li> <li>Assist scouring teams with manufacturing / engineering-based recommendations.</li> <li>Assist Engineering team members from USA and Germany during supplier visits.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong>EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE</strong></p> <ul> <li>University / College graduate, degree in engineering related field or equivalent.</li> <li>Proven success in bicycle frame, component, and/or bike accessories manufacturing</li> <li>Minimum 5 years&rsquo; experience in alloy manufacturing environment.</li> <li>Strong knowledge of aluminum tube forming, forging, welding, painting, and paint mask design.</li> <li>Alloy failure analysis.</li> </ul> <p><strong>SKILLS</strong></p> <ul> <li>Fluent in Chinese (Mandarin) and English, both in speaking and writing is essential.</li> <li>Excellent leadership with good team work spirit.</li> <li>Ability to give design for manufacturing feedback to Design Engineers.</li> <li>Lead supplier meetings for corrective actions and process improvements.</li> <li>Critical thinking and proactive mindset.</li> <li>Good commercial sense, communication, and negotiation skill.</li> <li>Expert in manufacturing process fundamentals with the ability to understand and fix process variation and non-conformance.</li> <li>Excellent problem-solving skills.</li> <li>Thorough understanding of quality procedures such as FAI, RCCA, and PFMEA.</li> <li>Ability to support multiple projects at the same time.</li> <li>Computer skill for MS office, CAD (CREO) is a plus.</li> <li>Must be able to read, understand, and create 2D drawings.</li> </ul> <p><strong>OTHERS&nbsp;(&nbsp;PERSONAL TRAITS, etc.&nbsp;)</strong></p> <ul> <li>Vietnamese speaking and written language skills are a plus.</li> <li>Integrity /optimistic and passion to the assignment, responsible, and accountable.</li> <li>Patient and listening.</li> <li>Foresight and good sense to detect potential issues.</li> <li>Cyclist.</li> <li>Ability to travel internationally.</li> <li>Skilled bicycle mechanic.</li> </ul>
