Overview: The Senior UX/UI Designer is responsible for turning Dorel Sport&rsquo;s various digital applications and websites into rich user experiences, working with product and engineering teams as you model user behavior, produce wireframes and create measurably effective user experience and interface designs.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Design visual frameworks, detailed user and interaction flows, wireframes, mockups, and quick prototypes as well as polished visual assets.</li> <li>Capture all interactions, edge-cases, &ldquo;unhappy paths&rdquo; and the various states of these experiences through deliverables such as user flows, product maps, wireframes, and prototypes.</li> <li>Understand user behavior and motivation at a fundamental level, through user interviews, ethnographic research, etc., and through the development of journey maps, user personas, and other artifacts.</li> <li>Conduct qualitative user research, interviews, usability testing, and other research methods and data analysis techniques to make informed recommendations for UX/UI</li> <li>Advocate for the customer and user-centered design throughout the organization</li> <li>Understand and distill complex problems and propose simple, elegant solutions</li> <li>Have the ability to quickly understand the business needs of any of our distinct brands, and create compelling, effective UX designs</li> <li>Work collaboratively with product and development teams</li> <li>Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows, and sitemaps and communicate your data-informed vision and design rationale to cross-functional stakeholders.</li> <li>Follows internal controls and company policies as set by company and job function.</li> <li>Contributes to the success of the company by leading or assisting with other projects and tasks as assigned.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>5+ Years of Software User Experience and/or Information Architecture experience designing and shipping successful consumer-facing products at the consumer-focused company.</li> <li>Top tier User Experience, Testing, Research and Information Architecture skills.</li> <li>Experience in Interface Design and UX Design</li> <li>Expert knowledge of Adobe CS</li> <li>A strong portfolio demonstrating past work experience and relevant, user-centered design solutions for desktop and mobile</li> <li>Comfortable with multiple design disciplines, including web, mobile web, and native applications as well as transactional websites.</li> <li>Ability to generate multiple UX solutions for a given problem within technology constraints</li> <li>Proficient in wire-framing, as well as developing a clickable prototype</li> <li>A clear sense of design aesthetics, and a natural propensity towards simplification</li> <li>Comfortable with an agile approach to design, with an emphasis on user testing and rapid prototyping and iterative design techniques.</li> </ul> <br />Physical Demands:<br /> <ul> <li>Working conditions are normal for an office environment.</li> <li>Must be able to sit for extended periods of time</li> <li>Must be able to use a computer keyboard and view a monitor for extended periods of time</li> </ul>
