Overview: <p><span style="font-family: calibri;">The Product Manager will assist Senior Product manager to achieve a comprehensive business strategy to achieve sales and growth in the global Sporting Goods and IBD channel. They will be required to execute short- and medium-term goals and strategy for the development of bicycle product to ensure brand vision and corporate objectives are met for our Global GT market. The position will require a unique entrepreneurial aptitude for translating customer needs into desired bicycle product. </span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: calibri;"><br /><br /></span></p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li><span style="font-family: calibri;">Create Bill of Materials for each bike model in respective category and deliver to global assembly locations by set deadlines.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: calibri;">Execute direction for the product categories with consideration of customer needs</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: calibri;">Present product vision, features, and functionality to sales and externally to retailers</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: calibri;">Monitor developments in the marketplace: Specifically, bicycle products, related technologies, competition, customers and end-users.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: calibri;">Follow trends in color, graphics and lifestyle of similar product categories (eg winter sports, running sports)</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: calibri;">Work closely with graphics department to ensure an appealing graphics package.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: calibri;">Work with factories and component suppliers designing, requesting and evaluating new parts and frame designs.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: calibri;">Work with Marketing and Sales to develop sales publications, catalogs, packaging and product launch packages</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: calibri;">Work with demand planning and sales to deliver accurate regional forecasts</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: calibri;">Write competitive analyses as necessary.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: calibri;">Oversight of project deadlines for design, engineering, specification and commercialization of products </span></li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li><span style="font-family: calibri;">High motivation to work for one of the leading bicycle brands</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: calibri;">Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in business administration, engineering or related field.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: calibri;">Commercial Education with focus on sporting goods industry or bicycle business</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: calibri;">Experience in sporting goods or other bicycle retail environment.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: calibri;">Knowledge of marketing principles required.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: calibri;">Knowledge of bicycle parts and assembly required.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: calibri;">Knowledge of computers required including knowledge of Excel, Access, Word, Outlook and Powerpoint.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: calibri;">Must be able to work in a team environment.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: calibri;">English language skills</span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-family: calibri;">Beneficial Qualifications</span></p> <ul> <li><span style="font-family: calibri;">Previous product development experience in the bicycle industry strongly preferred.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: calibri;">Previous experience with sourcing products from Asia.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: calibri;">Knowledge of various metal manufacturing processes and cost association.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: calibri;">SAP experience</span></li> </ul> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: calibri;">Physical Demands</span></p> <ul> <li style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: calibri;">Must be able to lift, carry and move bicycles with assistance up to 50lbs.</span></li> <li style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: calibri;">Must be able to assemble and disassemble bicycles.</span></li> <li style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: calibri;">Must be able to maneuver around bicycles and parts.</span></li> <li style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: calibri;">Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.</span></li> <li style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: calibri;">Must be able to use a computer keyboard and view a monitor for extended periods of time.</span></li> <li style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: calibri;">Must be able to travel throughout Europe and internationally.</span></li> </ul>
