Dorel does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this position.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>JOB DESCRIPTION:</strong></p> <p>Reporting to the VP of Audit and Compliance based in Canada (Montreal), you will be in charge of conducting and supervising financial, compliance, operational and IT internal audit reviews within Dorel&rsquo;s USA divisions.</p> <p><br /><br /></p>
Responsibilities: <p>In this role your responsibilities will include:</p> <ul> <li>The planning and execution of compliance, financial, operational, and IT audits for all Dorel entities within the USA;</li> <li>Demonstrate proficiency in IT systems, risk analysis and audit methodology, including COBIT, ITIL and NIST frameworks;</li> <li>The follow-up until resolution of any audit issues, recommendations and action plans identified with management;</li> <li>The reporting of all audit results and reports to the VP Audit and Compliance and management;</li> <li>The participation in either due diligence acquisition procedures and/or post acquisition integration;</li> <li>Serve as advisor to management on internal controls impacted / affected by information systems through involvement in projects; and</li> <li>Pursue professional development opportunities, including external and internal training and professional association memberships, and shares information gained with co-workers; and</li> <li>Travel is expected at 25% (subject to adhoc projects).</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong>CANDIDATE PROFILE:</strong></p> <p>Bachelor degree or above.&nbsp; CPA is required, commitment to obtain CIA within 1 year of start date (if not already held). Other professional certifications (e.g. CISA, CISSP, CISM) are desirable.</p> <p>A minimum of 7 years of professional audit experience, you have started your career as an external/internal auditor, specializing in IT audit, with a large multinational professional services firm.&nbsp; You must have specific expertise in financial audit and IT audit.</p> <p>You must have a superior knowledge of Oracle (or other large ERP systems) and COBIT.&nbsp;</p> <p>Knowledge and understanding of data analytics and related tools (e.g. ACL, IDEA), and data management languages (e.g. SQL) are a plus.</p> <p>You will be directly working with senior levels of company management and must have the maturity and experience to do so effectively.</p> <p>This position requires multiple business trips within the USA and at least one trip to Canada per year.</p> <p>Proven record with US Sarbanes-Oxley or other similar regulatory requirements.</p> <p>Experience with manufacturing/distribution environment is highly desirable.</p> <p>Good communication skills.</p> <p>Self-driven individual who is comfortable with working in a matrix organization and with working at an environment with limited structure and high level of independence.</p>
