General Job Description</strong></p> <p>This position will be responsible for completing all body repairs and refinishing work on vehicles in a timely and efficient manner.</p> <p>The duties listed below are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed. Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Operate all appropriate power equipment and hand tools (hand, pneumatic, and power tools, grinders, sanders, welders, drill press, etc.) to perform body repair and refinishing work on damaged trucks.&nbsp;</li> <li>Plan repairs by evaluating damage, coordinating repairs with other required services, and ordering and gathering parts, supplies, equipment, and tools.</li> <li>Repair vehicles by removing, fabricating, attaching, and aligning parts, repairing dents, filling and sealing depressions, hammering, shaping, shrinking, expending, filing, grinding, sanding, smoothing, and featheredging surfaces.</li> <li>Refinish body parts by mixing paints, matching colors, spray painting primer and finishing coats, applying touch-up paint, etc.</li> <li>Deliver quality service by following repair standards, conducting test drive and final inspection, and correcting deficiencies.</li> <li>Provide prompt and courteous service both in person and on the phone. Maintain a professional appearance and neat work environment consistent with policies.</li> <li>Resolve any customer complaints in a friendly, courteous manner and advise management of all serious complaints or incidents</li> <li>Maintain equipment and tools properly and advise manager of any needed equipment maintenance or breakdown. Ensure all shop area conditions are not a potential threat to employee or customer safety.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>18 years of age.</li> <li>Minimum tool requirements (see below).</li> </ul> <p><strong>III. Desired Job Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>High school graduate, GED, or 1 year work experience.</li> <li>1 year heavy duty truck experience.</li> <li>Ability to perform vehicle lubrication systems and D.O.T. safety inspections.</li> <li>Dependable team player with a positive attitude.</li> </ul> <p><strong>IV.
