General Job Description</strong></p> <p>This position will be responsible for attending &amp; successfully completing a 6-month Dobbs Technical Institute program while learning the diagnosis and repair of all vehicles and equipment serviced. The position is expected to learn how to perform with professional competence as related to quality of work, product knowledge, and customer service.</p> <p>This position is an entry-level position, intended to introduce employees to the demands and responsibilities of a Service Technician 1. This position will be evaluated on the ability to quickly learn and master the duties and responsibilities of a Service Technician within 1-2 years.</p> <p>The duties listed below are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed. Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Assist with the repairs or maintenance of customers&rsquo; vehicles as directed.</li> <li>Perform basic and light building repairs, landscaping, and facility maintenance.</li> <li>Assist with pick-up and delivery of vehicles.</li> <li>Pick-up of parts from suppliers or other errands as needed.</li> <li>For locations supporting Truck Sales Operations, additional duties include:</li> <li>Perform PDI or other pre-delivery inspection and used truck inspections.</li> <li>Maintain new trucks on lot by exercising and keeping batteries charged.</li> <li>Check-in and inspection of new trucks as they arrive.</li> <li>Wash and detail new and used trucks.</li> <li>Accessorize or up-fitting new or used truck inventory as needed and directed.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>18 years of age.</li> <li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license in the state of employment and a qualified MVR abstract.</li> </ul> <p><strong>III. Desired Job Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>High school graduate, GED, or 1 year work experience.</li> <li>1 year heavy-duty truck experience.</li> <li>Ability to perform vehicle lubrication systems and D.O.T. safety inspections.</li> <li>Commitment and desire to learn medium and heavy-duty truck repair trade.</li> </ul> <p><strong>IV.
