Our Company is looking for long-term employees that we can invest in and grow with as we pursue our mission of being the premier commercial truck dealer group.</p> <p><strong>I.</strong>&nbsp;<strong>General Job Description</strong></p> <p>The Mobile Maintenance Manager (MMM) is the primary point of contact for mobile technicians. As such, the MMM must act with a sense of urgency daily to solve issues related to the mobile technician&rsquo;s job. Key performance indicators of the MMM include technician turnover, QCIs performed, Safety audits, technician productivity/efficiency, revenue, and technician engagement. The MMM actively manages a team of mobile technicians to deliver desired outcomes of the business, including technician efficiency, productivity, training, and customer satisfaction. The MMM either knows the solution to tech issues or knows where to find solutions. In any given day, the MMM will interface with technicians, the Service Manager, Service Writers, Customers, IT, National Accounts, and corporate resources to resolve issues and assist in technician performance. Each day the MMM is focused on improving the effectiveness of technicians to deliver mobile maintenance and improve the overall customer experience.</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Provide leadership to individuals and groups of technicians daily.</li> <li>Collaborates with fixed service departments to ensure each tech is busy every day.</li> <li>Develop productivity reports and work with team members to improve productivity.</li> <li>Actively work across departments to resolve issues related to the technician&rsquo;s role.</li> <li>Meet with technicians, conduct QCIs, and safety audits as required.</li> <li>Travel to technician and customer locations as needed.</li> <li>Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Ability to lead a team of many technicians to deliver company results.</li> <li>Skills in coaching/mentoring, teaching, and constructive criticism as it pertains to mobile technicians</li> <li>Knowledge of the mobile work environment and challenges, maintenance practices, and specific requirements and processes for mobile maintenance.</li> <li>Ability to coordinate multiple group efforts to solve issues related to the mobile technician job.</li> <li>Ability to act with a high sense of urgency.</li> <li>Constructive Engagement: Expresses ideas and disagreements, constructively resolves conflict, and encourages others to do the same.</li> <li>Customer Orientation: Able to collaborate with customers, especially customers with urgent issues, to provide solutions that meet customer requirements. Able to act as intermediary between technicians and customers.</li> <li>Experience and knowledge in working with Sales, Marketing, Parts and Service departments preferred</li> <li>Basic computer skills required with a focus on Microsoft Excel and Word. Experience with CDK and Karmak a plus.</li> <li>Have strong communication and interpersonal skills to gel with other departments and supervisors.</li> </ul> <p><strong>II.</strong>&nbsp;<strong>Minimum Job Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>18 years of age.</li> <li>High school graduate</li> <li>Must have both mechanical and technical experience, with a minimum 5 years in a related field.</li> <li>Have strong communication and interpersonal skills</li> <li>Basic computer skills required with a focus on Microsoft Excel and Word.</li> </ul> <p><strong>III.</strong>&nbsp;<strong>Desired Job Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>Background as a heavy-duty truck technician preferred</li> <li>Intermediate to advanced knowledge off Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.</li> <li>Strong organization, communication, customer service, managerial, and leadership skills.</li> </ul> <p><strong>IV.</strong>&nbsp;<strong>Mental Capability Requirements</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Comprehension</strong>: Ability to understand opposing points of view on highly complex issues, negotiate, and integrate different viewpoints.</li> <li><strong>Organization</strong>: Ability to organize and prioritize work schedules of others on long-term basis.</li> <li><strong>Reasoning &amp; Decision Making:</strong>&nbsp;Ability to make decisions with significant impact on department&rsquo;s credibility, operations, and services.</li> <li><strong>Communication:&nbsp;</strong>Ability to formulate complex and comprehensive materials, such as legal documents, authoritative reports, official publications of major scope and impacts, and make formal presentations.</li> <li><strong>Mathematics:</strong>&nbsp;Ability to compute, analyze, and interpret complex statistical data and develop forecasts and computer models.</li> </ul> <p><strong>V.</strong>&nbsp;<strong>Physical Demands and Work Environment</strong></p> <p>The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
