Overview: This position will be responsible as the liaison between the Accounting Department and the dealership operating departments (Truck Sales, Parts, and Service). This position will lead the Company&rsquo;s financial quarterly forecast, annual budgeting process, operating plan variance analysis, and various analytical projects. This position will also be actively involved in the monthly financial process, general ledger activities, financial presentations, and other projects.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Review month-end financial results with CFO and others as required.</li> <li>Oversee or work with others during the annual budget process.</li> <li>Work with leaders to develop sales forecasts and budgets by location for New and Used Truck Sales, Parts and Service functions.&nbsp;</li> <li>Provide timely response to audit requests from outside auditors, OEM&rsquo;s, and financial institutions.</li> <li>Submit monthly financial statements to respective OEM&rsquo;s.&nbsp;</li> <li>Identify areas of opportunity in reporting processes and make recommendations for improvement.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Develop and distribute monthly and daily financial MIS DOC&rsquo;s and OEM statements.</li> <li>Perform ad-hoc reporting/analysis and quarterly/monthly financial and operating reports.</li> <li>Develop and implement executive and field-level weekly and monthly dashboards that will include the key performance indicators for each business and drive improved performance.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Support Senior Management Team and Department heads with in-depth analysis.</li> <li>Assist accounting staff with end of month close, as well as general ledger reconciliations.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Accounting or Finance.</li> <li>5 years of Accounting experience.</li> <li>Automotive or heavy-duty equipment dealership experience.</li> <li>Advanced knowledge off Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.</li> <li>Experience in an ERP environment.</li> <li>Strong problem-solving, organization, and communication skills.</li> </ul> <br /> <p><strong>Mental Capability Requirements</strong></p> <ul> <li>Comprehension: Ability to understand opposing points of view on highly complex issues, negotiate, and integrate different viewpoints.</li> <li>Organization: Ability to organize and prioritize work schedules of others on long-term basis.</li> <li>Reasoning &amp; Decision Making: Ability to make decisions with significant impact on department&rsquo;s credibility, operations, and services.</li> <li>Communication: Ability to formulate complex and comprehensive materials, such as legal documents, authoritative reports, official publications of major scope and impacts, and make formal presentations.</li> <li>Mathematics: Ability to compute, analyze, and interpret complex statistical data and develop forecasts and computer models.</li> </ul>
