Deepens technical skills and works as part of a team, carrying out tasks with little coaching and supervision.&nbsp; Assists in planning auditing projects, reviews Associates&rsquo; work, and drafts reports. Must demonstrate strong technical knowledge</p> Able to manage, understand, and assist with planning multiple audit assignments. Develop an understanding of client's business, and becoming a "functional expert" in the area. Manage client engagements from start to finish, including managing the budget, planning, executing, directing staff and completing financial statements and audits. Prepare all necessary financial statement and related disclosures and reportable conditions letters. Identify and communicate technical matters to both clients and upper management. Assist with training and mentoring junior associates and interns
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Has a thorough understanding of GAAP and common audit procedures and techniques</li> <li>Effectively communicates with client to receive information necessary to complete the engagement with a minimum of disruption to client</li> <li>Organize and lead client engagements from start to finish, including budgets, planning, executing, directing and completion of financial statements and audits</li> <li>Coach and advise team members in client interaction and self-development expectations</li> <li>Develop technical skills and works as part of a team</li> <li>Execute tasks with little coaching and supervision</li> <li>Assist in planning and managing multiple auditing engagements</li> <li>Oversees and review Associates&rsquo; work papers and reports</li> <li>Develop a working knowledge of client business</li> <li>Prepare all necessary financial statement and related disclosures and reportable conditions letters</li> <li>Identify and communicate technical matters to both clients and upper management</li> <li>Supervise, train and mentor junior associates and interns</li> <li>Perform other job related duties as necessary</li> </ul> Compensation for the Senior Tax Associate will be commensurate with experience.
Requirements: <ul> <li>Master&rsquo;s degree in Accounting</li> <li>Meets all requirements to sit for CPA exam</li> <li>Those possessing CPA certification will be given preference</li> <li>Ability to perform and direct multiple engagements</li> <li>Excellent communication and writing skills</li> <li>Ability to mentor, lead, and train</li> <li>Minimum of two years&rsquo; experience in public accounting</li> <li>Ability to travel 30 percent</li> <li>Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel</li> <li>ProSystem Engagement experience a plus</li> <li>Excellent project management, analytical, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills</li> <li>Strong leadership, training and mentoring skills</li> <li>Highly motivated, self-starter with ability to multitask</li> <li>Projects confidence and credibility in technical knowledge</li> <li>Energetic and enthusiastic</li> </ul>
