Overview: <p>With our sights focused on your success, you can expect insight to help you emerge as a leader, oversight to achieve a healthy work-life balance and foresight to forge a successful career.</p> <p>Our Senior Tax Associate Interacts and oversees a portfolio of clients including high net wealth individuals and middle market businesses. Works as part of a tax team contributing on tax compliance and consulting projects. Reviews tax compliance services for partnerships, corporations, S corporations, trusts and individual clients. Works as part of a team, carrying out tasks with little coaching and supervision. Demonstrates strong technical knowledge and is responsible for coaching, advising and directing team members in meeting client and self-development expectations.</p> At very fundamental levels may engage in business development activities to expand and produce new client opportunities.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Preparation of complex tax returns (individual, corporate and partnership returns)</li> <li>Ability to analyze tax issues and come to conclusions</li> <li>Prepare quarterly and year-end estimates to assist clients with tax planning</li> <li>Perform diversified tax assignments under the direction of a supervisor, manager or partner</li> <li>Demonstrate competency in technical skills, work quality and application of professional and firm standards</li> <li>Meet time constraints and client deadlines</li> <li>Possess technical knowledge sufficient to assist staff associates</li> <li>Begin acquiring the skills necessary to develop quality client relationship and loyalty</li> <li>Participate in firm training courses to further develop technical skills</li> <li>Provide excellent client service by producing quality work, quick turnaround and attentive service</li> <li>Become proficient at tax research including a knowledge of the reference sources available to the firm</li> </ul> <br />Compensation for the Senior Tax Associate will be commensurate with experience.
Requirements: <ul> <li>Master&rsquo;s degree in Accounting</li> <li>Meets all requirements to sit for CPA exam</li> <li>Those possessing CPA certification will be given preference</li> <li>2+ years of public accounting, demonstrating a progression in complexity of tax returns</li> <li>Excellent analytical skills</li> <li>Ability to make decisions regarding accounting and tax matters</li> <li>Ability to perform and direct multiple engagements</li> <li>Excellent communication and writing skills</li> <li>Ability to mentor, lead, and train</li> <li>Extensive knowledge of S-Corp and partnership returns</li> </ul>
