Responsibilities: <ul> <li>The procurement function requires a significant degree of technical/engineering expertise to effectively understand and communicate with suppliers regarding the requirements of components developed and used in the manufacturing process.</li> <li>Ensures effective communication between cross functional teams. &nbsp;</li> <li>Manages purchasing function and associated personnel to ensure effective demand planning and inventory control systems are developed, optimized, and monitored.&nbsp;</li> <li>Responsible for inventory demand planning and managing OTC&rsquo;s supply chain while working to reduce costs and improve quality and productivity.&nbsp;</li> <li>Manage all aspects of purchasing&nbsp;and implementing engineered solutions into the production process.</li> <li>Work closely with internal and external engineering departments to drive successful component sourcing projects.</li> <li>In-depth knowledge of the Company&rsquo;s ERP system, procedures, and functions.&nbsp;</li> <li>Contributes to its development, implementation, and optimization.</li> <li>Analyze and evaluate potential suppliers; manage the overall supplier competitive quoting and supplier qualification processes.</li> <li>Develop&nbsp;and create&nbsp;sourcing and purchasing plans and proposals.</li> <li>Manage&nbsp;the sampling and product approval process for the project. Plans, directs, and coordinates the work activities and resources necessary for manufacturing products in accordance with cost, quality, and quantity specifications.</li> <li>Negotiate vendor contracts to favor the company.</li> <li>Participate on global teams to provide procedural consistency and exchange best practices.</li> <li>Develop strong, functional relationships with key suppliers.</li> <li>Perform annual analysis to evaluate overall cost savings after implementation of new strategies.</li> <li>Follow industry professionals and organizations to maintain an awareness of best practices.</li> <li>Ensure that all practices are consistent with industry guidelines and regulations.</li> <li>Monitor market trends to identify new emerging opportunities.</li> <li>Prepare and issue purchase requisitions and orders as required.</li> <li>Ensure that the purchases of materials are focused on providing better quality and reduced costs.</li> <li>Oversee and manage the Purchasing function in accordance with Management goals and objectives including ensuring the timeliness of issued PO&rsquo;s and delivery of components to meet Production schedule requirements.</li> <li>Monitor the variances in the budget to ensure that the purchases are made within the specified budget standards.</li> <li>Define and present recommendations that will help in achieving&nbsp;business goals and objectives.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p>
