Overview: <br />Performance monitoring and reporting analyst will perform various functions, including monitoring, optimizing, and managing the performance of KPIs for the TPO. Analyzing performance including comparing intended outcomes with actual outcomes, evaluating quality controls to see how effective they are, and identifying errors in a system. The Performance Analyst will identify the appropriate level of metric reporting for levels of leadership.<br /><br /><br /> <p><strong>WORKING CONDITIONS:</strong></p> <p>Work is performed in an office setting with no unusual hazards.&nbsp;</p>
Responsibilities: <br /> <ul> <li>Manage the TPO goal-setting process; establishing annual goals, aligning strategic initiatives, assignment of lead and support roles, identification of leading and lagging indicators, and reporting requirements.</li> <li>Coordination and reporting of SLAs and performance metrics across the TPO, EH, and BCBSM IT.</li> <li>Management of reporting on both operational metrics and strategic initiatives metrics.</li> <li>Assess and manage appropriate metric reporting at each stakeholder level.</li> <li>Responsible to collaborate across the TPO for the development and implementation of performance metrics to improve business operational efficiency.</li> <li>Responsible for the analysis of business metrics to identify the root causes and recommend corrective actions.</li> <li>Provide documentation for identified problem, definition, and procedures for solving them</li> <li>Undertake research and collect data to better analyze outcomes</li> <li>Propose new techniques and tools to track and report on performance metrics</li> <li>Regularly monitor business performance and generate performance reports for management</li> <li>Develop, revise, and enforce business policies and procedures as needed.</li> <li>Responsible for identifying areas of improvements and concerns in business operational areas and provide appropriate strategies to resolve them</li> <li>Develop, publish and maintain a report/metric catalog</li> <li>Coordinate and collaborate with technical and business resources to develop automated report generation and distribution processes.</li> <li>Work with large volumes of data, apply statistical tools and models, as well as undertake research to detect trends and isolate essential relevant information for sound decision making</li> <li>Constantly monitoring KPI&rsquo;s for deviations in expected outcome and be willing to adapt their measuring metrics to change</li> <li>Perform research and collect data to identify future trends based on past performance.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <br /> <p><strong>EDUCATION:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Health Care, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field.&nbsp;</li> <li>Relevant combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.&nbsp;</li> <li>Continuous learning, as defined by the Company&rsquo;s learning philosophy is required.&nbsp;</li> <li>Certification or progress toward certification is highly preferred and encouraged.</li> </ul> <br /> <p><strong>EXPERIENCE:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Five to Seven (5-7) years experience in a related field (e.g. performance management reporting, corporate strategy, and planning, finance, process improvement, project planning, health care economics, health care policy, statistical modeling, business decisions, analysis, or business management).</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES (SKA) REQUIRED:</strong></p> <ul> <li><a target="_blank">Excellent analytical, planning, problem-solving, verbal, and written skills to communicate complex ideas.</a></li> <li>Must understand business metric performance and target setting.</li> <li>Competence to analyze financial and other data</li> <li>Ability to work independently, within a team environment, and communicate effectively with employees at all levels</li> <li>Excellent organization skills and ability to effectively multi-task in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.</li> <li>Ability to lead and facilitate cross-functional team meetings.</li> <li>Excellent organizational skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, as well as within tight deadlines</li> <li>Excellent knowledge and use of existing software packages (Visio, Minitab, Power BI, Tableau, PowerPoint, Excel, Word).</li> <li>Strong writing and verbal communication skills to effectively and convey information and develop presentations for multiple levels of the organization.</li> <li>Project management skills, ability to manage people and process in accomplishing assigned tasks to actualize defined goals</li> <li>Interpersonal skills; rapport building skills to establish and maintain strong working relationships across functional and reporting levels</li> <li>Ability to understand and apply statistical inference.</li> </ul>
