Overview: <br />The Sr. Communications Operations Specialist-Senior Health Services (SHS) is responsible for quality assurance of our member communications. This critical role achieves success by identifying and solving issues relating to communication tone, ensuring communications are properly inventories/tagged, identifying opportunities for long-term improvement during communications remediations, and more. This position requires reviewing vast amounts of data and processes which are analyzed and reviewed in coordination with departments across SHS and beyond. Communication tracking and trend detection are key goals of the position.<br /><br /> <p><strong>WORKING CONDITIONS:</strong></p> <p>Work is performed in an office setting with no unusual hazards. Travel is required (approximately 25%).</p>
Responsibilities: <br /> <ul> <li>Review communications workflows and collaborate in upcoming Process Improvement events</li> <li>Analyze data and information about our communications to identify quality improvement as well as optimization opportunities</li> <li>Recommend and update policies and procedures to improve performance</li> <li>Enhance workflow and cross-departmental engagements</li> <li>Create monthly reports to management on key findings and assessments</li> <li>Serve as main conduit between Vendors and key projects</li> <li>Maintain detailed records on communications campaigns including dates of campaign, number of members impacted.&nbsp;</li> <li>Assist with documenting communication remediation efforts and follow-up on planned long-term preventive measures outlined to avoid future communications incidents.</li> <li>Work with key business units to document their upcoming communications plans, at the semi-annual level</li> <li>Manage inventory tagging</li> <li>Work with other communications teams to gather meaningful communications metrics on a monthly basis</li> <li>Draft business requirements for upcoming communications work</li> <li>Develops SHS reports to present to other groups.</li> <li>Other special projects as assigned.</li> <li>Lead discussions to develop department goals, objectives, and systems.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <br /> <p><strong>EDUCATION:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Journalism, English, Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.&nbsp;</li> <li>Master&rsquo;s Degree preferred.&nbsp;</li> <li>Relevant combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.&nbsp;</li> <li>Continuous learning, as defined by the Company&rsquo;s learning philosophy, is required.&nbsp;</li> <li>Certification or progress toward certification is highly preferred and encouraged.</li> </ul> <br /> <p><strong>EXPERIENCE:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Five years of experience in a Marketing and/or Health Care environment with demonstrated technical experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities.&nbsp;</li> <li>Three years supervisory or leadership experience in Marketing and/or Health Care required.&nbsp;</li> <li>Bilingual skills preferred.</li> </ul> <br /> <p><strong>SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES (SKA) REQUIRED:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Demonstrated excellence in written, verbal, and analytical skills through presentation of persuasive, accurate content</li> <li>Strong project- and people-management skills.</li> <li>Must demonstrate leadership ability and team-building skills to effectively supervise staff and interact with all levels of management.</li> <li>Must be able to relate easily to diverse individuals and groups, especially at the C-suite level.</li> <li>Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects, assignments, and deadlines.</li> <li>Excellent listener with ability to act independently and exercise good judgment/decision-making</li> <li>Possess excellent organizational skills.</li> <li>Familiarity with healthcare</li> </ul>
