Overview: <br />This position provides basic training and project management support services to multiple business units related to the contracting lifecycle process. This includes tracking requests, reporting on progress, escalating issues through to resolution, ensuring contracts meet &lsquo;best in class&rsquo; requirements through the provision of ongoing training.<br /><br /><br /> <p><strong>WORKING CONDITIONS</strong>:&nbsp;</p> <p>Work is performed in an office setting with no unusual hazards. Local travel is required; national travel may be required.</p>
Responsibilities: <br /> <ul> <li>Provide advice to business partners in drafting detailed service level agreements (SLA) and preferred contractual terms in statements of work (SOW) to achieve best-in-class contract.</li> <li>Monitor contracting status for significant deviations in quality, cost or schedule, escalating issues as needed.</li> <li>Act as resource to provide issue escalation, in support of desired business outcomes.</li> <li>Support stakeholder signoff process for contracts prior to contract execution.</li> <li>Ensure executed contract transitions to Contract Administration team for oversight.</li> <li>Track and report on escalations and VP exceptions.</li> <li>Collaborate with Corporate Procurement to train business until staff on the procure to pay / source to settle process. Including: entering EAC, creating service level agreements, detailing contract terms to ensure best-in-class contract development prior to execution.</li> <li>Collaborate with Contract Administration team to train business unit staff on the centralized contract administration process.</li> <li>Manage cost savings projects. Track, report, and obtain approval of reported cost savings.</li> <li>Responsible for leading identified special projects to produce desired results. &nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Interface with various departments, senior management, and suppliers to provide value and support for continuous improvement.</li> <li>Create/update policies and procedures to support departmental activities.</li> <li>Perform other related duties as assigned.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p>
Requirements: <br /> <p><strong>EDUCATION:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field required.</li> <li>Master&rsquo;s preferred.</li> <li>Relevant combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.&nbsp;</li> <li>Continuous learning, as defined by the Company&rsquo;s learning philosophy, is required.&nbsp;</li> <li>Certification or progress toward certification is highly preferred and encouraged.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>EXPERIENCE</strong></p> <ul> <li>Five years of experience in vendor management, contract administration, supply chain management, or related field.</li> <li>Prior experience in Health Plan business preferred.</li> <li>Previous insurance or healthcare industry experience with government programs, especially Medicare Advantage is also preferred.</li> </ul> <p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p> <p><strong>SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES (SKA) REQUIRED:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Basic knowledge in current contracting policies and practices for the procure-to-pay/source to settle process.</li> <li>Experience in reviewing and interpreting contractual agreements (e.g. BAA, NDA, MSA, SOW).</li> <li>Excellent analytical skills.</li> <li>Excellent decision-making, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work closely with business team in understanding and resolving issues.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to successfully manage internal and external stakeholders&rsquo; relationships. Proven ability to identify and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders representing a broad range of functions and levels.</li> <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.</li> <li>Ability to speak effectively before groups of internal and external stakeholders, including customers.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to effectively and professionally exchange information by sharing ideas and advice, reporting facts and other information, responding to questions, and employing active listening techniques.</li> <li>Ability to work independently, within a team environment, and with multiple priorities.</li> <li>Proficient in current industry standard PC applications and systems (e.g., Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint).</li> <li>Ability to read and interpret documents such as policies, procedures, and guidelines.</li> <li>Experience leading discussions with various business areas.</li> <li>Ability to work with and empower others on a collaborative basis to ensure success of the team and/or project.</li> <li>Able to maintain a flexible, positive attitude in an ever-changing environment while adding measurable, material value to business partners.</li> <li>Some travel to business locations may be required.</li> <li>Other related skills and/or abilities may be required to perform this job.</li> </ul>
